Corner Food Bar — Restaurant in Great Britain

I used to be a habitual customer of Corner Food Bar. Living just around the corner, with the good prices and decent service, I felt like this would be a fantastic place to call my takeaway place.

However, one night the food came in awful. The fried chicken wasn't crispy but soggy, the chips were tasting nasty, and a lot more.

When I complained, the answer given was that the lady herself preferred soggy, and it's because the chicken hadn't been dried.

Now, I've had fried chicken since I was a little kid, and let me tell you, that wasn't normal. I paid around £20 for my order, and you're telling me that this fried chicken is fine? Only after raising it with the person, did they actually deep fry the chicken and apologise.

The hot wings given were also all the small pieces, with bone only and no meat, which they did so they could fit my order (20 hot wings) within the tiniest box and save money on a 1p cardboard box!

It took 15 minutes for them to solve the issue, by which time the chips were cold.

After trying all the main pizza outlets around Westbury including the chains we found corner bar after it was recommended by a friend. In a passing comment saying we could get a 15inch for 9.99! Originally after trying the newly opened pizza shop and finding there organizational skills terrible, I thought I would take a walk up the street and give it a try. The service was instant and friendly and indeed the deal was true! We went for a 15 inch with bbq chicken sausage peppers and pineapple (other half's choice) and greeted with a freshly prepared and cooked pizza that far outshines the others. Easily the best pizza around. Soft base not too oily and delicious to the last...

Corner food bar has easily become my new hot spot for a naughty treat. The quality of the ingredients is brilliantly matched with the quality of service.

It's a shame its cash only, but if that isn't a first world problem I'm not sure what is, I just ensure I have the cash out ready. But like I said this is my go to and I think anyone else that gives it a go will soon be leaving the big name brands behind and supporting a local business with great food to offer.
