Lovely decor and staff. We were the only people there. One party just left as we got in. Ordered for starters poppadoms, prawn puri and fish pakora. Portion for prawn puri was small considering it was £7. 1 puri with prawns. It was tasty though. The fish pakora batter was dry and tasteless although the fish had the right amount of moisture. To drink we had the sweet lassi which had the correct flavour but contained too much ice cubes. For mains we had grilled sea bass and the special lamb shank biryani. I couldn't fault the sea bass. Highly recommended for fish lovers as the flavourings don't overpower the fish. The biryani was a big disappointment considering it is their most popular dish. The lamb shank was tender and had some flavour but the rice was bland. The owner did ask my opinions on the food and I mentioned this to him to which he replied that some ingredients were missed as they were unavailable in the kitchen at the time. This for me was a big downside as I believe a dish should not be served if they have compromised on the quality or flavourings. They should have said it was unavailable. Also for £20 for a portion of Biryani I expect it to be as advertised with all ingredients. Received a menu through my door earlier in the week and remember the location of the precious restaurant there and that jogged my memory. Took my daughter out on Friday evening and as the local Nando’s was full to bursting suggested an Indian. Lovely finished interior and it was only around 7pm so one other table busy. Pleasant server seated us and ordered a Chicken Tikka masala for my daughter and a Peshwari naan, a Begum Behar and chilli cheese naan for myself. Had pops and dips, really tasty, and the mains were really tasty and fresh tasting.
