Jen Chang — Restaurant in Great Britain

I Came to wales to work for a week just outside of Meyther, after one of my days I went down into the town and stumbled across this place looking for food, having had a few bad Chinese's of late I thought I’d give this authentic looking place a try after seeing it had been in business for over 80 years!

I visited on a Wednesday evening and there were 10 people inside ordering takeaway at 2030 which was a massive green flag to me!

Wow , I will travel back up north at the end of this week wishing I could take this gem of a place with me!

Theee freshest most tasty Chinese I’ve tasted for years!

I highly recommend the Szechuan chicken and chicken chow mein, good prices too...

Excellent Chinese take-away in the heart of Merthyr Tydfil. My wife and I went to Jen Chang because google was showing it to be the only take-away open (as all restaurants were full and didn't have seat). The staff were patient and suggested us a few good dishes that we might like. And, we both loved the food so much that we returned again a couple of days later to order new items. Their special fried rice with chicken, pork, prawns, eggs and vegetables are absolutely incredible !!!

PS - A suggestion would be to start accepting Card/Contactless payments. Insisting on cash only payment is annoying and at times, very...

over 5 years have my chinese,fish and chips from there😃 happy customer!!! later last maybe 6 months they do the meals very small if we have a complaint the lady in charge dont even give u chance to say a word,dont even hear what we have to say😈very hard for put order in the lady take it shes chinese only a few words english she understand we need tell her 5 6 times what we want😈 last time 2 weeks ago i ask fish bites they give me 4 pieces (fish) aka batter the size was like my hand small fingers i went back shes humilhate me in front the other customers...
