Booked for a family dinner and was extremely disappointed. Restaurant was busy but service was very very slow. Starters took 1 hr and 20 mins to arrive and we sent 2 back as they had left cold starters under the warming lamps frying the salad.
Main courses took another hour to come and they missed 1 of our mains from the order. We highlighted the long delays and errors but the management failed to deal with our complaint. Several other customers had issues and we witnessed one couple giving up after their starters due to the delays.
During the meal staff were engaging in heated discussions in front of customers and when supervisor tried to control them they were ignored. One young member of staff ended up in tears after exchanges between kitchen and waiting staff. It was like an episode of Ramsays Kitchen nightmares.
The staff could not cope and don't know how to deal with problems. When we asked for our bill to be reviewed in light of the shambolic service they offered a mediocre discount.
We have been to plenty of busy restaurants including La Vita and never experienced such poor service alongside a complete lack of customer care.
Highly unlikely we will return as this experience has left us feeling ripped off.

The table was originally booked for 6pm but we called and arranged to come at 5:30pm so my timings are correct and your interpretation of events incorrect.
The member of staff was crying, we seen it with our own eyes and you were not there. Reviewing camera footage is no substitute for witnessing it first hand. The member of staff did not stop the verbal exchange instantly as you report, again you were not present.

I ordered Lasagne which looked if it was straight out of the microwave and poorly presented My wife as usual ordered Fruitti Di Mare Pomodoro which looked like a bowl of soup and was totally tasteless this dish was sent back and changed unfortunately was exactly the same, this also was sent back after tasting on returning home my wife suffered badly from upset tummy and spent the night in the toilet and had to go see the Doctor today called into the restraunt today to inform of this as do not want anyone else to suffer. The manager offered her apologies and informed this istablishment is under new management but it is still trading under the name of lavita due to this experience think it will be sometime before we return. I cut into the chicken loads of water came out and it was very mushy I sent it back then the fun began !! It wasn't cooked properly I was told it was I said not to my satisfaction and wasn't eating it , I was of course offered somthing else and my reply was no as it put me off . The manager then came over with a very raised voice saying was nothing wrong with it bla bla and offered me cake !! I told him no thankyou and asked for the bill the bill arrived with the meal I didn't eat on it I said I was paying for an uncooked meal that I didn't eat he the became quite aggressive shouting and waving his hands along in my face !! I asked to speak to manager his reply was he was manager and spoke to owner and told me I was paying for meal !!!
