AVOID THIS STORE! You will be served nothing but disappointment! the consistently poor service at your this store. Despite raising issues on multiple occasions, the same problems persist, and the standard of service continues to fall well below what should be expected from a brand such as McDonald’s.
On numerous visits and delivery orders, items are repeatedly missing, including sauces, straws, and napkins, which shows a lack of basic attention to detail. When ordering in-store, waiting times are unacceptable; it recently took over 10–15 minutes to be served two drinks. Delivery orders are frequently incomplete, which is both frustrating and disappointing.
Today I attempted to raise my concerns by calling the store, but instead of receiving a professional and constructive response, I was met with rudeness and unhelpful behavior from the 2nd Assistant Manager, Sarah. She spoke over me, argued, refused to take accountability, and handled the conversation in an unprofessional manner. This type of conduct is unacceptable and damaging to your brand.
The pattern of errors, coupled with dismissive responses from staff, makes it clear this is a systemic issue within the store’s management and operations. I am confident that the franchisee would be appalled to know the business is being represented this way.
At this point, token apologies and occasional offers of a “free meal” are not sufficient. What I expect is: A formal investigation into the service and management standards at this store. Appropriate action taken regarding staff conduct, particularly the behavior I experienced from Sarah. Assurance that training and operational improvements will be implemented to prevent these ongoing failures.
As a paying customer, I should not have to repeatedly chase the basics of good service. Until meaningful changes are made, I cannot recommend this...
Read moreVisited this branch a few days ago and not the best experience. Ordered through the machine and went to the counter to collect the food. It was absolutely freezing cos some lads were standing next to the automatic door, so it was permanently open. The staff closed off the upstairs section (this was several hours before they were due to close - they randomly do this for some reason, even when people are upstairs), so a lady with small kids asked if she could sit upstairs and the staff were arguing with her. She went up anyway. After she did, one of the staff commented that it was freezing - so not sure why they were arguing with her! Then when I received my order (with the fresh cooked fries I specifically asked for), I realised they had given me 3 medium fries rather than the 2 medium and one large that I had paid for, so I took them back. The delivery presentation guy swapped one of the medium ones for a cold, large fries - I asked him if I could have one with fresh fries instead (they had literally just cooked) - so he threw all 3 fries away! I asked why he had thrown them away and said it was a waste of food and was told they had to? Then he gave me a bag with 2 medium fries and argued that I had only paid for 2! After me showing him the receipt and proving that I wasn't trying it on, he gave me what I had paid for. His attitude was pretty shitty to be honest, so maybe he should stick to dealing with Uber delivery guys and not serve regular customers. Additionally, I don't understand how you have to stand and wait sometimes about 20 minutes for your food to cook and it still be cold or...
Read moreThis review is not about the Beaumont Leys Leicester branch itself — the service here was good and the staff were helpful. My issue is with McDonald’s overall pricing practices.
I recently discovered that the price of The Fajita Chicken One – Crispy was different within the same restaurant depending on how you order. On the McDonald’s app (takeaway option), the item was priced lower, but when I ordered the exact same product through the in-store self-service kiosk, I was charged more.
This is not about local price differences between restaurants — it’s about inconsistent pricing within a single branch. That kind of practice creates confusion, undermines customer trust, and feels unfair, especially when value for money is so important to families today.
I raised this issue with McDonald’s Customer Care, but unfortunately, the response was not satisfactory. Instead of addressing the inconsistency, I was given a generic explanation about “local pricing,” which doesn’t explain why two different prices exist for the same product at the same location.
I hope McDonald’s reviews this practice, as customers deserve clear and consistent pricing across all...
