Premier Inn Restaurant (Hotel guests only) — Restaurant in Great Britain

I went to eat an evening meal here. There was plenty of parking in the car park. I approached the front door of the building but that was locked. Looking through the windows I could see there were customers inside. So I tried the side door. That was locked too. Finally tried the back door closest to the premier in hotel and managed to get in. It would be helpful if they could put up signs at the front directing customers to the back. But I get the feeling that maybe they don't want external non premier inn customers eating here. I sat down at the table and looked through the menu I was given. Nobody came back to take my order so eventually I went to the bar and queued to order my food. Sat back down at my table with a drink and waited a whole 45 minutes for a mixed grill to come out. Yes 45 minutes! Would have been quicker at wetherspoons. As I tucked through the food(which was quite excellent I must admit) I ran out of drink. Looking at the long queue at the bar I realised my food would be cold by the i finished queing. I wished somebody would come and ask how my food was etc so I could order a drink but nobody came. After I finished my meal i realised nobody was going to get me the bill so again I had to go and join a queue to settle my bill. What a waste of time! I've had better service in a labourers' canteen than I got from this establishment posing as a restaurant....

Very, very personable gentleman who welcomed me to breakfast and gave me directions...
