Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I am a regular here. I must be spending on an average 15 pounds every other day enjoying their sandwiches , sweets, coffee etc. For the first 4 trips I was not told about the Costa app and free coffee. In later trips I realised what I missed not knowing about the app. So that's one point. I know Im paying for dinning in. I request to slightly warm my food...brownies and sandwiches as well. Since it's cold inside and I like the warmth of the food. I was given it the first 4/5 times before. Today I asked for the same and was told the mayonnaise in my veg sandwich should not be heated. I informed there's no mayonnaise. I was then told 'something' in it should not be heated and heating it will cause 'cross contamination'( veg sandwich?). The brownie was passed through the heat not warmed enough.

I have not enjoyed my interaction with most of the associates. They are curt and least bothered. But such a huge deviation in service and this was done without any apology just curt repetition of same words again.

I have been very kind and friendly to the staff always requested with a smile and please though it rarely gets returned. Today there was a fan like blow coming out at the place I was sitting at the latter part of the day. I informed them that it's so much that I can't sit. The support staff said okay but it continued until I left which was almost an hour after I told them. Need I say...Will never come here...

This was one of the worst coffee shop experiences so far. First of all, when walking inside, there was a very unpleasant, burnt like smell, so even if we wanted to sit inside, we couldn't. There was a small queue indeed, of about 3 people, but the waiting time was much longer than usual. At some point, it was my turn to order, there were at least two employees who could have helped, but nobody even bothered to notice me and at least say "We are a little busy, be with you in a minute". Didn't even look at me. When I finally got to order, the order was wrong, I had to inform them because they didn't notice. The pastries were absolutely old and stale and gave us a stomach ache. Not to mention the coffees, which tasted nothing like a proper coffee. The tables were disgustingly dirty. Safe to say, never coming back again. Ok, just been as it's supposed to be open until 21:00 and the place was shut for a staff meeting which was apparently taking place between 18:00 & 19:00.

In the time we were there tonight several other customers also had to walk away empty handed.

Not good that customers are being turned away at 19:35, over half an hour after your meeting was meant to be finished guys.

One star lost on this.

Love popping in for anxiety every now and then with my daughter. Occasionally see one or two Warrington Wolves players in here too. Not that I'm too bothered, I'm a Salford Red Devils fan.

Service is great and the staff are nice and friendly.
