Greggs — Restaurant in England

Food is very much like any Greggs with the caveat that you probably won't get any.

The service here is exceptionally slow, to the point the qué is out the door and people are walking away. (I've had to walk myself several times, waiting for 15 mins on a 30 min lunch break isn't ideal, so I go to Costa across the road where the service time is much better)

It doesn't matter what time you visit, the shelves (minus sweet things) are always empty, if you visit between 11-3 you're extremely unlikely to get the item you want, or you'll just have that one very sorry looking slice of cold pizza and a questionable steak bake.

I appreciate these are the busier hours but this isn't a problem unique to the lunchtime rush.

Smaller Greg's stores seem to have much faster service and better stock.

Overall nothing to rave about but if you're in a rush please eat...

Saturday morning around 08.00 asked if they could make me a sandwich but was told by the woman making them they had no chicken left. What is the point of having this service is you aren’t going to abide by it. So as a last resort I took one of the made up sandwiches off the shelf which was stale and frankly not very nice at all with all I can describe dried broken bits of onion on top. No sooner had I left this branch of Greggs I had thrown it away. I work locally and stop at the Costa coffee next door to Greggs every morning for takeaway coffee and breakfast. Fancied a change but will NEVER go in this branch again. Have a word with your staff please or at least offer some staff training. I have to mention the guy who served was really nice, just not the woman making...

They sell you coffee and then you ask for sugar and they tell you they've run out. Well try telling people you have no sugar before selling them coffee. Also on another visit the que was out of the door coz only 3 staff, 1 serving,1 baking,1 doing home orders. Since they started doing home orders the instore service has declined. Aswel I opened my app to pay inshore twice now n it made me update app n both times I couldn't pay waiting for it as it took so long and I'd tryed opening the app in que at door. Like 7people got served whilst my update was going n then it was like eek I'm being served n av to pay another way now. Try adding update...
