I don't normally go to buffet to eat as I am not the greatest fan. On this occasion it was a family members birthday dinner so it was there choice. The service was great, plates cleared quickly and the staff were pleasant and helpful. They had a good selection of food which was constantly being refilled as the restaurant busy. Three out of the four eating enjoyed the food. The ribs and prawn toast where nice as was the duck pancakes which was surprising to see at a buffet restaurant. They cooked steak, prawns and squid fresh to order although there was a bit of a wait. The steak was ok, I wouldn't wait for it again if I had to return. I was informed by another member of our party that the prawns were nice. They have a good selection of veg dishes, the broccoli and green beans were lovely. The dessert selection was good although they had ran out of the caramel banana fritters which we were looking forward to trying. Price wise it was good value considering the food options. If I was returning I would probably go at lunch time as it isn't worth paying the extra for dinner. If you like Chinese buffet then I would recommend...
Read moreFood tastes nice but it's all crammed into one corner and there is no room to walk around and select your food, lots of staff but food trays lying empty for ages, not a lot vegetarian food, one bowl of salad that looked awful, the deserts are poor, with only one fridge of those wee tiny cut up squares of cake. The ice cream is not doing any favours for the environment and I'm no tree hugger but 1 tiny scoop in a cup with a plastic lid is just costly , plus that's kept in the same one fridge as the 4 or 5 cakes and the small selection of fruit, for the price I expected a lot more selection, there isn't even cream to pour on the wee dry bits of cake. Feel a bit let down to be honest , the guts of £50 to play at sardines with a mediocre selection of ok tasting food. Thankfully the person who took our payment was too busy taking to his colleagues to even acknowledge us or even tell us how much it was. Sorry there are far too many excellent buffet restaurants at similar prices, we...
Read moreMost of the food was decent but didnt like idea of all the lids open permanently which caused quite a few if the dishes to dry out especially the shredded duck which was extremely dry and chewy. Also found a couple of small shards of bone in the duck as well.
A few of the desserts weren’t defrosted properly and still partially frozen in the middle.
The one saving grace were the chicken balls were fantastic. So fresh and light and the salt and chilli chicken balks were out of this world tasty. Sushi was very good also although limited choices
It was extremely busy and felt we were packed in like sardines and felt very claustrophobic
Apart from the few negatives it’s definitely worth a visit but wouldn’t go at a busy time as it feels too claustrophobic and at the food stations it was crazy trying to get around so many people all at...
