Just appalling inflexible jobsworth attitude from two individuals at this pub. My near 19 yr old son travelled from near malvern, as designated driver, with his friends to watch the rugby cup final last night and was thrown out just before kick off. On being asked to prove ID at the bar (he looks early 20s) he realised he'd not put his driving license into the case of a new phone. Obtained a message from his mom (!) with a picture of both his license and his passport but refused service. Was happy to forgo the one beer he'd have as driving and went to to sit with friends (who all look younger but had ID) but was then approached and told to leave. Watched 1st half of the game on phone in car on his own. Honestly some people in this country - I dispair and certainly would not...
Read moreIt's a hub for Shouty drunken yobs and loud music and vandalism, causing a complete nightmare for the people who have to live nextdoor or close by. I've read Some great reviews for this pub, but does anyone who wrote these fantastic reviews have the luxury of living close to it or nearby ? I very much doubt it. Its a Sunday night 23:00 and I have to be up for work at 3:00. All I can hear is drunk people partying and mayhem. I would like to say a big thank you to the landlord for being so respectful to his neighbours. And also a big thanks to HEREFORD COUNCIL for letting this Kaos continue. Oh and also a special thanks to people who give great reviews so that plenty more drunken yobs join the party every night. Thanks a lot people for putting so much care in...
Read moreAbsolutely brilliant pub! Situated in Hereford city centre with the centre itself being a lovely five minute walk away! It's a traditional style pub that's got loads of history, it's an 18th century inn and still has the multiple room that the old pubs used to have! (Don't make them like that anymore!) It's got a lovely outside beer garden, great friendly staff and a brilliant selection of beers, ales and spirits! When I visited they had a good few local beers from the wye brewery which were top notch! They have a pool table and a jukebox, but the best thing is a real fireplace and it's dog friendly! Definitely worth a visit for sure if you're...
