Absolutely brilliant place. My husband, myself and two of our grandchildren were the first customers when this opened. We have been to the squires gate sister restaurant numerous times so when this one opened it was ideal as we live in Bispham. The food is excellent. I am vegetarian and don’t like very spicy food. Whenever we go Abir the owner remembers my requirements and the food is made accordingly as it is always cooked fresh. My husband has had the lamb dish on more than one occasion and says it’s the best he has ever had. He can tell it’s not cheap cuts of meat. So tender. Every customer is treated really well. We have been numerous times since the opening and every time the standards have been exemplary. From food, cleanliness, service. Great vegetarian options, plenty for the meat eaters and even English food if you have a little one that prefers that. The sides are plenty and varied too. Love the cheese naan bread. There are a couple of not so nice reviews on here, but I’m thinking those people are someone that has a grudge or are from a competitor restaurant. Other reviews are stating excellent, not even just good, so I think someone may be just a tad jealous that Zest is providing the best dining out (or take away service). We will be back there with our other grandson on Sunday to...
Read moreThis was the first time we went to this restaurant. The owners are a Bangladeshi family. They have a running outlet at Lytham St. Anne’s for the last 7 years. The Bispham restaurant is located on Bispham road near the Spar outlet. It’s cozy. The tables are a bit too close to each other. Food is touted as Indian but doesn’t quite add up as it’s “made for the English palate”. There are limited alcohol options, but one can get one’s own supplies (BYOA). We had a “tawa sabzi”(very tasty), a Dal tadka (made only with split chick peas and barely passable) and a chilly chana masala (average). We had gulab jamuns but they were really dry and chewy. When asked, the owner hammed and hawed. Not recommended. On the whole, it’s okay. The owner is friendly and tries to...
Read moreCame here after hearing good things. The food was good, plenty of it on the weekday buffet. All served hot and great value for money. Just let down by the service. Had to go to the bar and ask each time for a drink. The buffet menu had dessert included but we waited that long for service between courses that we gave up on the dessert. Had to go and ask for the bill and the table was only cleared down as we left. Would order takeaway from here as the food was good but wouldn't come back to...
