Bar 1 — Restaurant in Great Yarmouth

Went a private party here which had exclusive use of the venue. Hosts paid through the nose so would have thought more was done to keep out and advise public that this was a private event and to keep from entering. But this was left to the hosts to police. Also there were not enough bar staff!! After paying so much for the food (which was mediocre, and nothing more than normal party food like finger sandwiches, quiche etc.) and the venue they could have made so much more money by having on an extra person at the bar. The venue was full from 7:30 till close at 11:30 and we often had to wait 20 mins to be served and even then they got orders wrong repeatedly.

If you want a private party!!...

Bar 1 in Gorleston has a great Sunday lunch made and prepared by bad Boyz kitchen which is working with the bar1 restaurant and bar, we had smoked bricket beef with red cabbage chantilly carrots, homemade stuffing and crispy roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings, great friendly service and you can see how important it is to the Boyz that you really enjoy your food, it was so exciting to taste food that you can tell had so much flavour in every mouthful, they do extras ie pigs in blankets, creamy leeks which we enjoyed and next on the list crackling, veggy option available too, much enjoyed and highly...

We're here in Gorleston-on-sea for the weekend and were on route to the Indian restaurant.. We stopped at Bar 1 for a quick drink about 3.30pm and didn't leave until 10pm! We had a lovely meal ( the chef was a lovely bloke) the manager was the host with the most.. Everyone who worked there was friendly and efficient. And we spoke to the friendly locals like we went there all the time! The place has such a friendly atmosphere. Is clean ( plenty of sanitizer dotted about) and we loved the outside space too..
