Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Harborough

Not enough staff or equipment to ensure decent service. Staff were friendly and apologetic, I felt sorry for them. Drinks and food were good. The place could do with a face lift, it is basic, boring and beige. I would suggest some decent background music and a reshuffle of the seating areas, you have to squeeze past the queue to exit, not sure you would get a wheelchair or a buggy in. Parking in Lutterworth is ridiculous, £1 per hour, no wonder village centres are becoming derelict, you could park for free at the local supermarkets if you don't mind a 5...

It's a Costa so the food/drink offering is consistent with the brand, but this store has friendly staff (unlike so many other branches) which elevates the experience.

Still usually understaffed or at least the clearing of tables seems to be based on a random process rather than clearing away as soon as customer leaves, but again, so typical of most chain cafes nowadays.

There are plenty of independent cafes nearby but appreciate some people want the comfort of a familiar chain and for those people then this branch is better than other...

Went in with my daughter and told because I would be paying for both of us only one of us permitted to enter - not even allowed to see what food available. No discussion - asked to leave. We could have stood separately - she could have ordered and paid using my card and then passed it to me to pay for mine - but no - I was paying for both so only one of us allowed in, no discussion!
