Been coming to this KFC for the past 10 years since the day it opened and over the years the service has gone down hill. You used to be able to order at the desks now it’s just machines only. That’s not a problem, it’s just in the recent two years when we order there’s always something missing one time we got a family bucket in the drive thru with hot wings they gave us the bucket not the hot wings by the time we realised it was too late as we had driven out and past the traffic light it was too late to turn back.
Most recently last week after watching a movie at the nearby cineworld I was hungry with my partner and felt like having a quick dinner, we ordered one bucket and a boneless box meal. Guess what happened? The box meal arrived but not the bucket meal so we had to share one meal between us. Even worse the ticket machine wasn’t working so we couldn’t go back to the counter and show them that they forgot to give us one of the meals. So my partner got mugged off £27 .
Finally the atmosphere it was 20c with sun last week and that KFC was a furnace no joke, no air con nothing. It was literally hotter than it was outside like sitting in a hot car. Screaming kids all around as well as lots of families sit in there. Never had such a worse experience in 10 years I have been coming here. Honestly go to Pizza Hut instead if you want a meal...
Read moreSHOCKING SERVICE !......The Harlow branch of KFC is a comedy show of errors. Tried to order via the app on the 10th May, the payment got debited twice, ended up walking in with the QR code.
On entering we noticed the all the fast track order machines were all out of action too. So we queued up, with only one person in front we thought this would be quick as they had placed their order. Ten minutes later we were still standing in front of the till, and not one single member of staff even looked up and made eye contact or acknowledged us. Ended up grabbing the attention of the manager, who waved a staff member to the till. We tried to use the QR code we had, but the staff member said the app system was down (yet Uber eats riders were picking up their orders ) As app was out we were told we could order at the till, BUT had to pay the full in house price, rather the discounted app price. Asked the cashier if we could speak to restaurant manager to ask if they could honour the price (as we had been debited already). Ended up waiting again with no acknowledgement, as he walked past.....gave up and walk out.
This Harlow branch is damaging the KFC brand !
Once our money has been credited back, I will then delete the KFC app and will not...
Read moreVery very very very slow!! Stood in queue to order for half an hour even though there was only 4 people in front of me! The food was hot and fresh when it was finally ready as had another wait then at the 'collection' point. Staff were working incredibly hard and fast but with in-restaurant service, drive through and Just Eat etc deliveries it's just too much demand for a small branch. The eating areas were dirty and bins inside had overflowed so people had no choice but to leave their empty food cartons on the tables which were also filthy with food residue on them. There had obviously been a big spill on the floor (mix of coke and milkshake??) and although a sign had been put out to warn people it was very off putting. Staff were lovely and polite so not faulting them at all just think there is too much pressure and demand hence the long wait to order food. And when a staff member did come out to clean up the restaurant, she did explain that it was just their busiest time (we were there 2.15pm onwards).
