Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Harlow

I swiped the app to get the reduction on my "treat drop" but was told that the item I had selected was not available in the deal. I was given a cheaper item and then charged full price for it, which I didn't notice at the time. Totally disgusted as there's nothing in the Ts&Cs to confirm this, I asked to speak to the manager and was told that the manager was on holiday and there was effectively no single person in charge of what is a large and very busy outlet. I was given a replacement receipt as mine was wet and torn and advised to call the phone number on the bottom of the receipt, a number that doesn't exist(!). I attempted to call their head office on the generic number on their website only to find that it is no longer in use. All in all, I am disgusted at the way I was treated and shocked that such a busy outlet is run in such a haphazard way. I have been a customer of Costa Coffee for many years, but not for much longer based on this experience, or at least not...

Absolutely Shocking Low Lvl of customer service . I have visited this place many times but today was just appalling .. Had to wait twenty times literally in front of the barista to actually get my drink after they had made and served drinks to at least ten people who came in long after me .. Got handed in the wrong drink and when I mentioned it the barista just emptied the content of the cup to a larger cup and added water as it that will turn a mocha latte into a hazelnut latte .. I couldn’t even touch the drink as it was freaking HOT! Anyone who knows a thing about coffee will tell you that burned coffee isn’t really something you want to be serving customers .. I will not go on but i will say this , i left after having wasted 35 min out of my life without coffee and very frustrated .. not cool putting a pregnant person through a twenty min wait standing on her feet just to serve her your trash .. p.s. those two ladies on the tills need to learn...

Sept 2023 Front entrance doors are very dirty. So too were the floors. Slow service yet again. More urgency needed. Nice location with plenty of parking.

April 2023 Yet another visit and still much the same. Poor, slow service at the counter. Pastries heated up way before drinks were made resulting in cooling down and crumbling into bits. The store is way too dirty for a Monday morning following a weekend. It should be clean and ready to go for the new week. Several tables not cleared away. Floors grubby. A team member washed her hands and then proceeded to take her hair out, redo it up and then went on to make drinks and serve. Such a great, open, spacious store but terribly let down. Better organisation needed.

Previously. Lazy service by Dan, messy tables, no communication between staff. Manager left halfway through making our drinks to go to the toilet! Sure enough they took our money very...
