We usually always order from Raj Lodge, but when we called this time we were put through to Garden of India and was told that it was the same menu, same chef, they are just operating from there during lockdown. Absolutely not true, the curry I ordered was not the same quality, definitely a different chef, the produce was pretty poor actually. On top of this... I made an order for a lamb Korma with a bit of heat, and they sent me a tomato based chicken curry that was hotter than the sun, I couldn't eat it, so I called and told them my order was wrong. They questioned me when I explained I ordered a lamb curry too, not a chicken one and said "I took the order so I remember you ordered a chicken one" even though I didn't, I ordered a tandoori chicken too, he was obviously confused, even after admitting that they sent the wrong order. So he said they'd send the whole order again. The lamb was tough as old boots, unlike raj which is usually melt in your mouth delicious. Then... to top it off when the delivery driver arrived, he told me he wanted to collect the old order... by this point I stuck the tandoori chicken and onion bhajis in the fridge and rest in the bin, except for 2 bhajis we ate while we waited... so i went and got my food bin and offered to give him the bag, and got the tandoori out the fridge etc, he actually made me wrap it up in foil and a bag for him to take back with him... absolutely ridiculous, just accept your mistakes and the loss that comes with it I thought, besides, what you gonna do? Send it on to someone else during these Corona virus times? I thought it was such a cheek that he asked for it back that I don't think I'll bother using Raj Lodge again as it isn't guaranteed that I will get the correct order or food that is usually good quality. Read moreDon't actually know where to start first time I order online wait nearly 3 hours get told that they didn't see the online order was promised a free meal next time. So call the following week as didn't want to take the chance online order explained I've been promised meal, well as I thought don't know nothing about it. So with pure discuss I didn't order from them again as the service was absolutely shocking. Few weeks go past I then call order a collection as I think look mistakes happen, so I go collect my meal when I get home start dishing up there's stuff missing surely not again can this really happen they then deliver the missing items 30 minutes after so point less. Then I don't know why but give them another chance place an order using there app, they say in a confirmation email 1 hr delivery so an hour and 20 mins goes past so call look Saturday little busy I get that any way he tells me it's on it's way. Well I actually don't know how to put this items missing from the order, I call them know this is absolutely unacceptable 3rd time my meal has been ruined they say it's not on the order sorry I look at the email errr yes it is, his answer was we get it to you as soon as we can and I give you a free beer sorry but it's way to late for that. Read moreWe came to the Raj Lodge for a surprise 30th Birthday party and out of a group of 20, nearly all of us had a bad food experience. Most of the food was cold when it came (we had to wait nearly 2 hours just to get our starters) and some of us didn't get what we ordered and some didn't even get our mains at all!!! The waiter was told that we needed individual bills as some of us were on a tight budget but still they lumped it all in together, which got very confusing as many complained about the food and dishes had to be taken off the bill. On top of that, my friend's wife (who organised this) had paid a deposit and looked like they were going to end up paying double for their dinner.
