Disgusting customer service by the manager. There are baby groups run weekly next door to the cafe and each week a large group of us Mums and Dads go to the cafe after classes. We were loyal customers spending lots of money as a group each time. You would think we would be valued as customers. Wrong. The manager made it her mission to make us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome when a couple of the ladies in our group requested tap water when we were placing a large order for drinks. The manager made a big song and dance and said if we wanted water we could purchase the bottles they had and that they do not provide tap water as her staff have to wash the cups up! As if it wasn't bad enough she disregarded our regular service and was rude to us at the till, she later took it a step further and felt the need to personally approach one of the ladies whilst drinking the tap water to continue giving her a hard time about her request. This made her feel very very uncomfortable and personally attacked, it totally ruined our experience and the atmosphere, all over some tap water? Seems very petty to me and clearly priorities are very very wrong. You should be looking after loyal customers. After the vile treatment we received none of us will return. So for the sake of those two cups her staff had to wash, she has now lost that business 5+ orders that we made at least once every week. Disappointing to...
Read moreI've tried using the pre order collection service on 3 separate occasions and it's been awful.
I made my order one Saturday around 11am and got confirmation 'thank you for your order,' but when I arrived at the cafe 20 minutes later it was closed.. surely you would turn off the ability to place an order on your website like any other business does. Opening times on Saturdays 8AM - 4PM according to the website.
The second occasion I ordered, when I arrived around 20 minutes later they seemed to have no idea that I had ordered until they searched for it on their system so I ended up waiting a long time. No apology.
The same thing happened today, the pre order had not been acknowledged and waited 55 minutes for a couple of bacon sandwiches. No apology again.
You need to have a system where you have some sort of notification that someone has placed an order on your website. If you are closed when you are usually open or extremely busy then don't allow orders to be placed online at that time. Come on, this is really basic stuff.. and if you can't do that maybe just get rid of the pre order option because it's making your business and staff look...

My partner and kids loved the full English. All very tasty and presented in gorgeous crockery. Club and school shirts from the local clubs and schools are framed on the wall giving it a true community feel. All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Such a nice atmosphere here.
