The Oak Bakery — Restaurant in Hastings

We love their white and brown sourdough loaves. What we DON'T love are the ludicrous queues stretching down the street because everyone behind the counter is busy making sandwiches from scratch. On one occasion, one of the ladies was even cooking bacon. A certain amount of bacon could be pre-cooked and re-heated in the microwave!

One solution to the queuing problem would be to have 2 queues, so that those of us who just want to pop in for a loaf don't find themselves behind someone getting lunch for the entire office! They could also have some of the most popular sandwiches or rolls already made up - lots of other bakeries do this.
