Bonjour Café — Restaurant in Hastings

I've been here a few times and I'd say 4 out of 5 times something more or less went wrong. The kitchen always seems overwhelmed with wait times 30mins+ even when the place is not packed. If you then inquire about your food you'll get a response like "Your food is just being plated" but then it takes another 15 mins and another follow up to actually be served (in this particular case burned, so they probably just rushed to make it right then and there and it was not being plated at all). Staff is unorganised and not observant at all. They bring the food to the wrong table, put the food in front of you but don't provide cutlery so by the time you get it the food is cold, don't clear the table while you sit there, things like that. They for sure spend a lot of time apologising to costumers. It's also a rather noisy place. It's a shame really because the menu is great and when you happen to walk in on a good day it's really tasty and a nice atmosphere as well. They also offer free wifi, making it a nice place to take your laptop and get...

The pancake was raw and the same time burned and dry and it was everything but not fluffy how they've promised on the menu. That was the worst pancake in my life. The fruit was very small portion and the whipped cream was melting already when arrived. My partner had a full veggie breakfast and almost everything was burned again. The toast was burned and cold in the same time, the avocado was not ready to eat. The coffees where too milky. We had to wait over 40 minutes for the breakfast. My partner went in to ask when it will be ready as they were less busy so we didn't understand. They told him it's extra 30 minutes. How? We were the next in the queue... After the waitress came outside and told sorry it's coming straight the way they gave us wrong information.. We had to wait again like 15 minutes :D but we got after that the burned food... We paid £22 for this, totally...

Stopped by today to enjoy a coffee outside.. Unfortunately the baristess seemed a little under stress. Kept saying I'll be with you in a minute (which wasnt in itself bad). What was annoying was that there was only one free table and I was worried it might go. I asked her whether there was table service since I would rather have secured the free place and sat outside. She just repeated "ill be with you in a minute". Eventually I was served and I paid for the coffee. Trouble was just at that moment the place outside was taken. I didn't want to turf these people off the table...so eventually I just left the place without drinking the coffee. Not before I pointed out why I asked whether there was table service ..and she just gave me a frankly stupid answer. Seemed like she was the type who just had to have the last word....I thought the customer was...
