From the pier on the left, it stretches down to Bulverhythe to the right, a good mile or more, stony beach, with sand exposed at low tide, I guess the main feature is the promenade, with lower and upper levels. At the pier end the lower level is called Bottle Alley, constructed in the 1930s, it has lost its beauty, and is considerably run down. The lower prom continues at the end of the alley, in the fresh air, along to the Azur Restaurant, this area is far nicer! The Goat Ledge cafe is worth a visit. The upper prom is used by cyclists as well as pedestrians, not advisable to stray into the cycle lane. Enjoy a good walk...
