Matty's Kitchen is a true gem, earning a well-deserved 5-star rating from me, especially on a scorching hot Sunday. Seeking respite and a coffee break, we stumbled upon this delightful establishment, and it exceeded all expectations.
The moment we entered, the tantalizing display of pastries captured our attention, and the efficient and friendly staff made us feel instantly welcome. I opted for a Decaf ice coffee, often an overlooked choice, but to my delight, it was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail and quality of the decaf surpassed many regular coffees I've had elsewhere, making it a truly pleasing experience.
To complement the coffee, I couldn't resist trying a small piece of cake, and I was blown away by its excellence. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors, leaving me wanting more.
What made the visit even more enjoyable was the serene outdoor seating under the shade of majestic trees. The ambiance added to the overall delight of the experience, making it a truly relaxing and pleasurable outing.
In conclusion, Matty's Kitchen is a highly recommended place. From the inviting atmosphere to the high-quality decaf coffee and delectable pastries, it promises a delightful time for anyone who visits. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee break or a sweet indulgence, this place has it...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 I would. I went in for a bagel and asked for egg with salad and pinged to bagels in the counter. They asked me to wait as fresh was being made and so I paid for that and a m&m cookie while I waited. After a few minutes I was handed the bagel with no salad and asked them to put it in as that’s what I ordered. they then argued that they only sell egg and onion. I confirmed I asked with salad and they went back to put it in only for someone else to come back out and say the owner won’t allow them and it’s not what they do.
They tried to hand me the sandwich and I suggested it’s not what I ordered and if I knew it was just egg I wouldn’t of ordered it as the sandwiches I saw in the counter all had salad. I was told this is just for tuna and they can’t put it in so I offered to pay extra and they refused because all items had to be listed on what is sold. I pointed out the egg sandwich didn’t have a label nor did the cookie bar and so rather than take my offer to pay £1 for salad as an extra they offered me a refund.
I took the refund and left and ate across the road in a much nicer place. Very strange...
Read moreTrain disruptions this morning forced me into taking a cab to the nearest coffee shop in Bushey. A place called Mattys on Bushey High street opposite Morrisons. So as not to be late for my 8:30am meeting I asked the unsmiling unwelcoming girls behind the counter for WiFi and that I was in a rush. No wifi and raining outside so I sat in a corner and went straight into the meeting keeping as quiet as possible. No one asked if they could bring me a coffee or anything else but gave me hostile looks throughout my meeting. After I went to the counter - explained and apologised again, and offered to buy some take away croissants - still a wall of unsmiling unfriendly faces. Perhaps the owner needs to do some kicking to wake up these girls to the fact that a warm greeting and a pleasant ambiance is usually the standard. A real...
