Normally don't read reviews, but the two reviews before mine makes me feel the need to point out that these sound like the normal idiots you see in Watford.
The Bar is ok, lots of space and right next to the station. its got an ok selection of larger etc. Staff are ok, they take the money and give you beer, which is what you want.
This bar is not a gay bar, if it was it would probably serve better food and be cleaner, but then this bar is in Watford, which is the kind of hole the produces the people who wrote those other two reviews. I doubt those people would appreciate stuff like hygiene or even paying for your own drink by earning the money yourself.
Never seen any trouble in there (nor heard of any in the last 20 years...
Read moreArgyle "on tour". Our first away match in The Championship for 13yrs!! And what a fitting place to start in this pub. We were made very welcome and with a mixture of home and away fans and good friendly banter it was all enhanced by TV screens watching " The Arsenal " ( not a favourite team for the locals !! ) and England women. London Pride was the order of the day and the Landlord invited us to eat our fish and chips bought across the road, in the pub. Nice touch Boss !! Just less than a mile from Watford Junction station it was perfectly placed after our 0700 train from Plymouth. And we got a creditable draw against the home team.....excellent...
Read moreMy husband stayed here recently for work and is now covered on both legs with bedbug bites. He has them on both ankles right up to his knees. His work mate just has a rash and severe itching on both legs. Change your mattresses asap as you have an outbreak I'm afraid. It's cost my husband £20+ to buy cream and antihistamines just to ease the bites to carry on working this week. Awful...
