Been coming here for years. Booked at 12:30 At 12:30 called informing that I was going to be 5/10min max late due the the closure of the main road due to flooding (they knew that as all the locals have been affected by) This guy called Alex answer the phone. He recognise me as l'm a regular client!! I was as always very polite and his answer was: OK BUT NEED THE TABLE BACK SOON My answer was not to worry as I was going to be only 5 min just the time to park and again his comment was : I NEED THE TABLE BACK At that point l've told him... you know me it's only me my wife and my daughter... we always eat fast and I'm aware of the 2 hrs turn around policy as it is clearly stated on my booking confirmation l've told him, look I'm on my way. Again from this guy, no friendly comments not see you in a bit, just the 3rd I NEED THE TABLE BACK in 2 hrs. By then I was really annoyed and didn't want to go But as I was with my wife and 13 years old daughter I decided to go I've told him see you in a bit and you can have the table back as soon we finished but make sure your service its not going to be slow!!! We arrived there and as I was saying good morning to the staff at the door (as mentioned we are regulars) I've seen this Alex. Did t want to make fuss but the smirk on his face when he saw me I couldn't resist and asked him: What's your problem today???? He showed me to the table again with that smirk!! I was wating for his apologies instead again he was explaining that today the need tables etc etc I was very annoyed and the other staff noticed that!! We sat, order taken waited 40 min ( don't know why as only 1 table was eating and food not coming out) did t make a fuss and eat regularly Pointed out that many tables were late specially a table of 4 next to me, 2 guests arrived and 35 min were wating the other 2 guest that were late... guess what Alex??? When the other 2 arrived He rushed at the table to say hi to this guys (clearest he k ew them) And total different treatment than me politely calling to inform 5 min late... the waiter Gabriel that served us noticed that and I pointed out to him... look at Alex, didn't worry about the table back with them Shocking experience This guy ruined my...

Was visiting family in Bushey for the weekend and fancied going to Zaza for a change with friends for lunch. I had booked online 2 days before which is a very easy process and the Restaurant confirm this in an email and then remind you with further emails. It has been a Hit and Miss Restaurant over the years but today it was lovely. What we particularly liked was the fact they do a 1 or 2 course meal Monday to Saturday but myself and one friend had the A La Carte because there was nothing that we particularly fancied off this special lunch time menu. I had Garlic Flat bread with Mozzarella cheese as a starter which was way too much for 1 person so can easily be shared followed by Veal in a Polenta and Parmesan Crumb served with a Rocket and Cherry Tomato Salad and Spaghetti Pomodoro. It was very tasty and filling - a good portion. My friend had the Veal too and followed with a dessert and a tea. Another friend had the Spaghetti Carbonara off the 1 course but it was a huge portion which she couldn't finish. There was a buzzy atmosphere and the service was adequate only because we waited quite a while for our food. Next time I'm up I will go...

An Italian restaurant that can't get pizza and pasta right is not an Italian restaurant. We ordered from their lunch menu and only 1 course out of 4 was any good-the chicken liver starter. The calamari starter was poor in comparison to other places I have been. The calamari pieces were very small and dry. The main course of spaghetti and meatballs was disgusting.Way overcooked spaghetti completely stripped of taste owing to the fact it was literally cooked to mush. The sauce was poor,it advertised that it contained chilli in it.The sauce was not even slightly hot.The meatballs were not tasty at all. The margarita pizza with the addition of salami and mushroom as 2 extra toppings was equally poor very soggy in the middle and hardly any mushrooms. All the courses suffered from cheap ingredients being used.I had to eat most of the food myself as my wife wouldn't eat most of hers To cap it all service charge was added to the bill automatically. There was no way I was going to pay service charge to what amounted to disgusting food,so I got the waitress to remove it. Needless to say,we will not be eating at...

We visited on a Monday night during Summer holidays. It was quiet when we arrived (6:30), but soon filled out. Fantastic ambience, a really good dining atmosphere with excellent decor and lighting. A few fruit flies were present this evening, perhaps due to the recent hot weather. Food and drinks were exceptional, with a very good menu on offer. Cocktails and wine selection and quality were excellent. Service was generally very good until the very end of the evening, when it took a while to get the attention of the team too take our desserts order. The team could perhaps be forgiven for this, given they had already brought out (and sang with!) a birthday dessert plate for us. Unfortunately, they did then also forget the coffee we ordered with desserts but apologised and removed it from the bill without issue. This latter service experience was when the restaurant was at its peak trade and there was no doubt the team were working hard, they were perhaps one or two people short though. Ok value for money at around £50 per head for two courses and two drinks per person. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

The worst risotto I've ever had. I ordered the vegetarian risotto and honestly it was unacceptably bad. To put perspective on how bad it was, it was worse than an instant risotto from aldi. I had to add buckets of salt, pepper, hard cheese, chilli oil, chilli flakes, cut chilli's to tease out some flavour and make it edible. I still struggled, as can be seen by my photo, to finish it. The pizza and courgette fries were enjoyed by the group I was with. But 2 other members of our party also complained about the quality of their mains, suggesting it was ready meal standard. I don't know if the quality of food we got was at all related to our meals being ordered near the end of service, but it just was not good. I'd however like to leave a major compliment to the waiters at the restaurant who are are impeccable.

Fish lovers .... Yum!! Had the Seabass fillets in a lemon butter sauce served with prawns, spinach and potatoes. The fish was beautifully cooked with a very light crispy crumb on the base and the flavours blended so well together. Definitely a thumbs up from me. Next time I will try more! The restaurant itself is in Bushey Village and is buzzy & busy so recommend booking. The main room has 2 gorgeous trees growing up through the floor. Really love that! They have a lunch specials menu or you can go a la carte as I did. Around the corner in Kemp Place is a pay and display car park (free after 6.30pm) for easy parking. . .Find me on Instagram for more reviews: msfoodiereviewsforyou . . #foodbloggeruk #foodlover😍 #fishloversclub #fishlovers #fishlover🐟 #fishlovers🎣 #seabassrecipe #prawns #prawnstar
