First visit to the new venue (2nd ever) and v impressed. Lovely set up with a big beautiful willow weaved tree stretching up across the ceiling with numerous sparkly lights! While admiring these Ollie joked it took a long time to grow! Ha ha! Fab lively atmosphere- enjoyed spotting all the decorative pugs dotted around! (plus real dogs who are welcomed... A lovely fluffy puppy girl was v excited to visit!

It was v busy Saturday: so glad we booked a table, thank-you Pug & Pudding for remembering we needed one by the window for 2 of our party who lipread, made such a positive difference to us.

Staff are young, friendly and welcoming despite being very busy that day. Food is all prepared totally fresh, so do be aware of this if you are in a hurry. I think the quality of food reflects the freshness and care taken with it so worth a wait.

Drinks arrived promptly. Caramel milkshake was v creamy, dirty chai latte was enjoyed, 'would have it again' (I always think that's the good way to rate something new!) Tea pot for tea not just a mug, and such cute milk bottles! 💖

One of our party had the special minted lamb burger with onion bhaji: 'solid meat, v tasty' so filling they couldn't manage it all! Sticky chicken and hallomi boritto was 'very nice, good' (had that 1st visit so resisted this time! Be aware, yummy sauce can be a bit wet/drippy so watch out if on a date/wearing your fav top!) All party enjoyed our meals felt it was good value and would definitely return!

Pug & Pudding had a great range of cakes- as you arrive, by the bar & made on site loved the unique seasonal themes! (see photos) obviously very popular - disappearing as quickly as I photographed them! (so may need to come early to guarantee the one you want!)

There are a few steps down to ladies toilet and Gents is upstairs- no Disabled toilet. Level entry via an angled porch. Something to be aware of for wheelchair users.

An enjoyable brunch would recommend, and...

We had a few hours to kill in Chapel-en-le-Frith while our Can-Am Spyder was being serviced at The Trike Guy nearby.

The Pug & Pudding had been recommended by one of the other Spyder owners, so we decided to try it. Boy am I glad we did!

From the moment we walked in the door - just to check out the menu for our lunch later - Rachel could not have been more helpful, She let us sit for a while and study the menus (I took photos and uploaded the latest menus to Google Maps).

We went back after a brief walk round the town (there's not actually much to see or do there!), and she again made us SO welcome. She said there was no rush to order, but it all looked so good so we couldn't delay too long!

I had my usual Hunter's Chicken and chips, and I was so disappointed....when it was all gone! Because I wanted to keep eating it FOR EVER - it was SO tasty. Easily the best I ever had.

My wife had the Peppered Steak, and she said that it too was wonderful!

My diet suggested I really should not try one of their cakes, but I failed to resist (though I just had a sample and took the rest home). I had the Vanilla Slice and - again - I don't ever remember having one as tasty.

My wife had the Cherry & Almond Flapjack, and like everything else, she felt it deserved 10 out of 10!

Throughout our 2 hour visit, Rachel proved to be the waitress everyone would love to have serving them - she really was brilliant (and we lived in California for a few years, so we know what good restaurant service is).

It's a 4-hour round trip for us, but we are now trying to figure out when we can eat here again - I would do it every...

I had a joint 21st/18th birthday party at the Pug and Pudding at the weekend. Was full with my family, and the atmosphere inside was wonderful with the layout and the addition of birthday signs. The the staff were so accommodating and lovely to everyone. The staff worked so hard to serve drinks all night long and were very attentive. The chefs created a large buffet of a wonderful range of food (pictured) which was complimented by everyone throughout the night. They even catered for dietary requirements, with separate table for vegan food, with no nuts and also served a special plate of food for a guest who is coeliac and felt very included. A brownie stack was created by Donna as a birthday ‘cake’ which was devoured and enjoyed by everyone there. I want to say a huge thank you to the staff at the pug and pudding for catering, serving and welcoming that many guests and making it such a special night for me, my sister and our guests. Make sure to book in to eat or book out for events like this,...
