Eight of us went for a meal upstairs here at the Indian restaurant. We all left full and very happy and even two of us had a doggy bag. From when we arrived we had a good time, good choice of drinks available, we sat and chatted for a short while, landlords came to say hello and before we knew it, it was time to head upstairs to our table. They already had a larger table in who were tucking into food that smelled great. We were given menus and left to peruse. Once we had all ordered the food didn’t take to long to come out and myself and partner had a sharing platter which was incredible. Portion sizes were good and I don’t think we had an unclear plate between us. One of the guests ordered all their food without coriander and they were great at adhering to this. The main courses also did not disappoint, we had a good selection of a chicken tikka masala and chicken curry to the more spicy dishes of a vindaloo. The rice and naan’s were also good and the cost was not too bad either. I would recommend this place for a nice curry if you are partial to the Indian cuisine. Staff were friendly, child friendly too as we had a 7 year old with us. My only criticism I can give, is having to go downstairs for drinks but it didn’t hinder our experience as we just timed it right between courses.

Place is nice parking is abit of a nightmare limited car parking spaces probably big enough for around 10 cars parking is on a first come first serve basis. The room it self is decent enough for the money nice bathroom and nice amenity’s mattress is a little on the firm side. The reason for the 2 stars is as follows the fan in the room was the most dust ridden thing I’ve seen in my life I didn’t realise at first and put it on only to have a cloud of dust all over my room I then switched it off and opened the windows to try and air the room out needless to say I was sneezing all night. Breakfast selection is good

We were for lunch after visiting the Snake pass. Food took a while to come out and the pub was not busy at the time of the visit. It’s in Old Glossop. There is a park nearby. Nice environment inside and pub. There are also outdoor seating available. Parking free on and off street nearby. Restroom are clean and doesn’t smell bad. You can use QR code to order the food and drinks to your table. Classic pub menu and children’s menu are available for £6 each. We enjoyed our lunch here.

I was given 4 hotels to choose from, I looked at their websites to make my choice. The queens arms looked nice and the food looked amazing so I chose the Queens arms. |Arrived today from Northumberland, apparently my business had not booked me in. Ok no issues. They had room for me. £200 later for 2 nights. |I came down around 6:30 for dinner to be told they do not do food!! Their website says Sarah’s kitchen! Home made food ( hence why I picked this place) (see pictures). |I complained and spoke to the owner, who was absolutely terrible at complaint handling! Apparently it was my fault for 1. Not booking. 2 not asking about food! Even said to me, well you don’t have to stay here! (Nice eh) |He only said “ah yes the website needs updating” false advertising at its best! |He also said, he had to get extra staff in to cook my breakfast and clean my room! Erm thats what I paid £100 per night for so yes you should!!!!! It’s called hospitality and you have no clue how to do it! |The room is ok, but his attitude was disgraceful. |I booked in for 2 nights. Tomorrow morning I will be booking out and getting a refund for my second night. I will take my money elsewhere! |Please think long and hard before...

Stayed here for two nights in mid February 2015 with my partner, our two teenagers and our cockerpoo. The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.. Breakfasts were excellent - and huge! Our family room was large recently redecorated and scrupulously clean, the beds were all very good quality and comfortable. On Sunday morning we discovered there was a problem with our shower, we reported it to staff and a plumber arrived to fix it within the hour, great service. It was good to be able to take our dog into the bar in the evenings and at breakfast time. There is a lovely park for humans and dogs 2 mins walk away and Glossop is a good base for exploring the Peak District. The pub is under new ownership and the owners are clearly keen to provide a good service, I left a book in the room and they contacted me immediately offering to post it on. Would definitely stay again and recommend to other families. Only warning is that if you have older people in your party they may find the steep stairs to the rooms difficult to manage, otherwise it is a great choice and very good value...
