Lovely looking train station, 4 stars for the surroundings, but I'd like to say is why don't the train ticket workers deal with drunks, I know it's not really their job but when a woman is sat alone being called insults by a drunk nothing is done, just asked him to leave her alone so then he can move on to bothering the next woman waiting to go to work! Read moreLovely, clean and (when sunny) bright station. Friendly coffee shop. Can be very cold in winter though since the waiting room is closed. The barriers are a bit of a pain but (and this REALLY winds up my friends), since I have a Greater Manchester bus pass I get here very cheaply; for a surcharge of £10 a year I get UNLIMITED TRAVEL off peak in Greater Manchester on tram and train - Glossop bus pass holders CAN'T.
