Stopped into Pinnies early afternoon while exploring the town and reading good reviews about the place.
It is in a nice quiet street with outdoor seating and a charming setup however I was sadly disappointed.
I had a pot of tea and scone.. and perhaps if this was my first tea shop visit during my UK trip I may have rated the scones higher however having become a bit of a scone expert over the past 4 weeks I had to compare it against my previous experiences and sadly it did not rate particularly well.
The most disappointing part of my visit however was how disorganised they were. The counter area was a mess with spillages over both the worktop and floor, all the indoor tables and half the outdoor tables were full of leftovers - it did not look pleasant and only left me a choice of 2 empty tables. We could hear a lady in the back obviously not too pleased with a member of staff - listening to her rant, the staff member definitely wasn’t there! We couldn’t help but hear as the lady was quite vocal! We won’t be going back as it was unprofessional of the staff member and we didn’t feel comfortable. We will stick with our trusted...

Unfortunately we didn't even get to sit down as another customers dog barked at me, unprovoked, twice. Once when I was trying to look at the menu on the wall and again when I knelt down to ask my three year old what she wanted to eat. After this I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome so I decided we should leave.
I thought the sign saying 'Dogs welcome, people tolerated" was a joke but it would not seem to be the...
