Racist. The people that run the karaoke here are straight up racist. Wouldn’t let an American sing a Katy Perry song. This is the most ridiculous and awful thing I have ever heard and happened on our honeymoon. Awful people and the pub landlord needs to remove the karaoke staff.

Thank you for remembering us and also thank you for responding, even though much of your comment is pure fiction. I note your use of capitalisation for the word racist which is well known to represent shouting in anger.

To clarify to those reading these reviews, there were no claims of racism for “lost pool games” and there was no “defused situation” for calling any other customer racist. Sadly, the only racism was from (what has now been confirmed as) the management team themselves.

I read on a previous review that they had decent cask ales, and upon arrival I wondered if I was in the right pub. 6x was off, so I had to suffer a Timothy Taylor pale ale ( the only other option ) Absolutely no dimpled handles as I was told in a curt manner. When I mentioned the ale was too cold, the response was go and sit in the sun for while. He said he only drank lager or cider, so he obviously didn't care about the other ales. I am confused as to wether this was meant to be humorous or rude. A couple came in with a 14/15 year old boy, and were told " definitely no children in the bar, outside only". At NO point did we ask to EAT in the pub. We asked to leave it out by the door. God knows what you are referring to by an injury as I have NEVER had an injury from being in a pub 🤣🤣🤣
