If I could give it zero I would Oh cursed be the day my feet did tread To Accrington’s KFC — I should have fled. With belly rumbling and heart full of hope, I entered a grease-stained, fast-food dope.
A queue, eternal, snaked through grime, Stuck in a loop outside of time. The stench hit first — not chicken, no — But rot and mop-water’s sickly flow.
Staff stood around like ghosts on shift, Dragging their limbs, giving no lift. No urgency, no care, no pride, Just blank-eyed stares and slackened stride.
I waited, oh, how long I stayed, While time itself began to fade. Thirty minutes for one sad box, While staff gossiped in clustered flocks.
Not one “sorry”, not one “cheers,” Just apathy pressed into my ears. A simple meal, not gourmet fare, Yet served with less than zero care.
The counters sticky, smeared with grime, A chicken graveyard lost in time. The floor a battlefield of fries, Beneath cold lights and dead-eyed skies.
Bins overflowing, napkins afloat, A crime scene wrapped in a soggy coat. Sauce packets burst like wounded prey, As hygiene simply walked away.
No manager, no order, no law, Just chaos slathered in coleslaw. A health inspector’s fevered dream, A fried and filthy horror scene.
KFC, once finger-lickin’ good, Now licks back — and not as it should. What happened here? What cruel descent Turned food to filth, and staff to cement?
I left with sorrow, grease on my soul, A stomach full, but not made whole. Accrington’s KFC, a shameful blight, A beacon of wrong in the cold drive-thru night.
So hear my tale, and take great care, Avoid this haunt of deep-fried despair. Eat roadkill, grass, a tin of beans — Before returning to these...
Read moreAVOID. My family already had terrible experiences with the chicken being green and dripping in grease they usually go to other KFCs instead and have no problems but I cant afford to travel so carried on eating there. if the food hadnt already driven me away, the customer service did it for good! I was going to get a mcdonalds for my child and a kfc for myself and eat at home but my child was having a fit wanting to eat her meal so thought we could all eat in the restaurant so i ordered my meal once in there and we were treated like absolute criminals, like they confronted us in the restaurant really snotty with us while we were eating to let us know that if it happens again we'll be kicked out even though i paid for a meal we arent just dossers eating a maccies meal without paying for anything, spent nearly a tenner on a meal whys it their business? then they forgot ketchup with my meal and i went to the counter to ask for some and the woman snidely said i hope that isnt for the MCDONALDS meal. Really shoulda gone straight home when my child was getting upset, woulda saved myself a tenner, hope you see this KFC do yourself a favour and close down already. No one in my family will ever eat there again after how i...
Read moreI have eaten here a few times over the year after moving to the area and I have to say I'm yet to have a bad experience. We visited tonight (Tuesday 4th August) it was very very busy due to the government eat out scheme but thankfully we have common sense and prepared ourshelves for this.
We arrived around 6.45 and we were served and ate in all within 45mins which I felt was very good but what was even better where the staff.
The atmosphere was great, they did not let the high demand deter them from there amazing service! Nothing was to much trouble when we asked for no salad and we where happy to see the milkshakes where back on the menu.
All in all these staff need a pay rise or a big bonus for cracking on with a very busy difficult shift, no doubt taking shorter breaks or having none at all. There manager should be immensely proud!
Thank you so much for really brightening my day today as it was not the best but seeing the staff work well as team and deliver unbeatable service was great to see.
Keep the hard work up guys. Really...
