Had an hour or so to kill in Ipswich due to my son swimming at a gala, so I thought I would have an Indian, I WISH I DIDN'T!!!!!!!. I have eaten this meal in many authentic Indian restaurants around the world and by far this was the worst meal I have had. I have cooked better at home in my oven. I ordered 2 poppadum's (which were obviously bought from a supermarket and not authentically made.) Chicken Tikka Masala (not authentically made, which had no taste to it except the overpowering taste of salt.) Mushroom rice (that came with green, yellow peppers and onion, they were obviously fried as when the rice came it was dripping in grease/fat) and a garlic nan, which was cold after 2 mins of being on the table. I also had a Kingfisher that was the only thing that tasted nice. I also sat next to the kitchen and saw staff leaning & sitting on food prep areas/tables The price for this meal was just under £31. I don't mind paying £31 for decent food but that was extortionate. My only positive, the staff are...

I've been going here for years on recent visits they had got the cooking sorted and service was great too/ But today a different story, i went for lunch and to get take away to warm up for the family tonight. Only to be told that there is now a £2 surcharge per dish for takeaway by order of the management. i wanted 15 dishes so this was going to be an extra £30 I cancelled my lunch order then walked out, i could understand 1 £2 per order for containers but not £30 What's more if i go on the website to order for collection there is no rip off fee there. It will serve them right if they go out of business.

Edit the owners reply to this is shocking, the takeaway portions are not bigger I've bought enough of them if anything they are smaller, what's more they are still advertising a discount on take away on their...

Restaurant Visit Experience

My friend and I decided to visit the restaurant after hearing some positive feedback from a mutual acquaintance. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by an attentive and polite staff member who escorted us to our table.

We noticed that some of the vegetarian dishes were priced higher than we were accustomed to, so we opted for a light snack instead. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, although my friend had a few reservations about theirs.

I was surprised and somewhat disappointed that the establishment only accepted cash payments.

During my visit, I also checked out the men’s cloakroom, which was in reasonable condition. Since the restaurant is located on a main road, finding free parking proved to be a bit of a challenge, but I was fortunate enough to find a...

Familiar with this chain from London. Uninspiring interior. Food was very expensive for what it was. Kids didn't like the mango lassie which is highly unusual. The paneer Biryani was good. Chicken fried rice was good but a little dry. Vegetarian samosas were tasteless and pretty much inedible. The Idli was good apparently though I didn't try it. Large bottles of cobra and kingfisher available😁.

I thought I'd make a change and come here instead of the Sonar Banglar and I unfortunately made a mistake! Although the chicken in my biryiani was delicious, I was very disappointed to receive a chipati instead of a naan bread and the green thing is the 'Saag Aloo' for over £5 (!!) seemed like it had been pureed with green food dye! I have never ever seen any Saag Aloo look this bad. Disappointed.
