I have a very good experience !! Everything is fine, of course, but I don't understand why I need to pay 5 pounds in order to connect wi-fi !! I have a room without windows Therefore, I need the Internet, I have the Internet, but if I didn't have an Internet connection, how could I use the Internet and why should I pay 5 pounds for wi-fi in all hotels, in principle, it should be free I do not understand why there is not a single table or a single shelf in the room where I could put something I bought a bottle of wine and champagne because my friend was supposed to come to me But even a bottle I have nowhere to put more than that I don't even have glasses ask for glass I had mean at least plastic The most unpleasant thing of course was when I went to the toilet and lifted the toilet lid. I noticed that there was blood on the toilet lid, I also indicated this in the photo !! Therefore the hotel only deserves 2 stars !! the only thing for which the hotels can be praised is that there are cameras everywhere, that the hotel is located in the center, there are many places where you can go and buy food or buy some souvenir things, it is not clear why there is no parking nearby where you can park because the taxi does not park next to the hotel and further from the hotel because there is no Pokrovka The hotel itself seems to be quite good because it is very attractive! I think that the manager and people who are responsible for cleanliness will notice my comments.
Read moreUpdate: Or shall I say no update, as I've been ghosted here with the (owner) replying to any other review but this one. Even official easyHotel have yet to get in touch regarding this. Absolutely disgusting.
I would like to bring to your attention a situation that occurred during our stay this weekend at your hotel (Ipswich town centre), which fell short of expectation. We had an accessible room booked due to my wife having a physical disability, which to our surprise was on the 1st floor. Whilst the facilities within the room were great, it was only accessible via stairs or a single lift. This lift became out of order on the evening of Saturday 14th September whilst we were out for dinner and no staff members seemed to be aware of this until we tried to use it to gain access to our room after a very long day. After alerting the receptionist to this issue, and the fact we had an accessible room due to disability, she stated there were no accessible rooms on the first floor so we couldn't have one up there. When we explained our room had space around the bed for wheelchair access, as well as a wet room and wide set door frames she agreed with us that we did have an accessible room booked and was equally confused why it was located up a large flight of stairs if the only lift could potentially break and leave us stranded either side of it. Unfortunately we remained in the hotel lobby (with an overtired 1 year old) for approximately 90 minutes, whilst the receptionist on duty was unable to get hold of her manager (who's name appears to be Paul), whom she attempted to contact multiple times, and had no idea how to go about getting the lift back in service. After a long wait and no sign of the lift being fixed anytime soon, we agreed to struggle up the stairs despite a large and unnecessary amount of pain this caused my wife due to her disability. Unfortunately at no point did the receptionist offer assistance with the stairs or our baggage which included our baby's buggy (so not an easy trip up the stairs for someone who is already disabled), or an alternative, or any kind of time frame we could expect to be stranded without being able to gain access to our room. Unfortunately this falls way below the expectations of a disability friendly establishment and we have never had this experience in other competitive hotels, not to mention this goes against the equality act which states that "equal levels of access and service should be provided to all customers", but as a disabled person my wife was the only customer stranded in the lobby for over an hour (and who knows how much longer for if she had waited for the lift to...
Read moreWhen we arrived at midnight after travelling from Bristol we were told that they had given our room to another customer and that they had no rooms available for us. We asked to speak to the manager but was told they were in bed and that they couldn't talk, we eventually managed to convince the receptionist to at least try and call them and after a few rings the manager answered. The manager was very disinterested in our situation, told us to come back in the morning and request a refund. This wasn't an option for us as Ipswich was a stopping point for us on our way to our final destination and the fact that I had to request a refund was baffling to me, this should have been done without an request. Or at the very least put on the managers "to do list" for the next day. We ended up (after walking the streets of Ipswich for 2 hours and from the help of some very useful staff at the nearby Premier Inn hotel) finding new accommodation 30 mins in the opposite direction off where we were going the next day for a tidy price of £100. As you can imagine staycations are very popular this year, trying to find somewhere to stay over 200 miles away from home wasn't easy.
I don't want to look like the one bad review and I'm sure/hope this is not a regular situation for easyhotel Ipswich, however for me it's the way it was handled. Why did they wait till we arrived to tell us that they had given our room away, I had numerous emails from them in the days coming up to my booking, it's not like they had no contact with me. The managers attitude to whole situation was dismal, they didn't even offer to talk to us over the phone. I am a manager myself and that is not how you support your staff or look after your customers. There was no support for us on what the next step was for us, we were just told "you can try the Nova hotel down the road" no offer of them calling around for us. I think I can safely say I will not be not be using...
