Where to start? From booking to paying the bill, the care and attention was sublime! 👌🏼 Insert the chefs kiss here. Tiny details make the difference. I even joked that by checking the spelling of my name (a C or a K) and my surname spelling I’d be giving a 5 star review. Upon arrival, we were taken care of well, a couple of specials that were unavailable was made clear to us from the beginning (this is an obvious, but rarer thing than you’d expect). The food… everyone was happy. My wife was delighted with her duck topped with roasted sesame seeds. The kids both picked from the kids menu, and both looked very happy. Even though pizza, and sausage and mash often crop up on kids menus they all looked great, lacking the greasiness you usually see, and both girls devoured every morsel with lip-smacking delight. Now, there this steak I had in Paris a few years ago. It was in a small neighbourhood cafe, and is easily the best steak I’ve had in my life. It’s become a running joke among family and friends that I can’t get a steak remotely as good. The Bushmills Inn ribeye got close! Damned close! If you’re opt for the steak here pair it with the Bushmills whiskey pepper steak (when in Rome, and all that). The accompanying veg hit the spot and balanced nicely with the beautiful piece of cow on my plate. Only the kids had dessert (which the grown ups tried). Tasty and left us curious if we’d missed out on the adult options. The decaf espresso was decent for the homeland - we’re both picky with coffee - and the chat and rapport with staff was top notch! Friendly and witty, checked on us with care without being over the top! I’d definitely recommend and will be back if we’re ever

I went there few weeks ago with my friends, because reading some reviews online and some guides, this place was said to be moderately cheap and with good food. Not entirely true I must say. We all ordered different things, so we tried different courses. I must say, the presentation of each plate was impeccable. All looked good and placed in the right place. It was extremely good looking. About the taste, lamb was really good, crusty on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside. Not the same for pork and chicken. In the pork course there were different thinks, all cooked differently, in order to try it in different versions I guess. But probably we would prefer something more. The chicken was quite standard, while the sauces served with the meat, were quite special. The vegetarian course was sad. The taste good, but I think that it's quite impossible to cook couliflower wrong. The desserts were good, but nothing special. I have to say, the apearence of each plate was way too good with respect to the actual food. But for this reason and for the impeccable service, I must give them a good review, even if not the maximum. The look and feel of the place is like a inn, but they behave like a gourmet place. And the prices are extremely high conpared to the actual food they serve. This makes the all experience good, but left us unhappy and someone still hungry.

Can we be more unfriendly ? I don t Think so ! They clearly do not want us to stay. We went to have a Beer, to eat and see olympic games at the pub… that was supposed to be a good night. Well… Staff did not say hello. Did not help us where to seat and Did not look at us at all. After 15 minutes seating at the bar without any staff coming to us, I decided to ask for the menu… the answer was « we did not serve after 8 pm… » have a look at my watch and see it was 8:02 and we were here for more Than 15 minutes ! I asked if they can serve the children only. Staff said no and offers us to buy them a pack of crisps !! As the restaurant is just behind the bar, I asked if we can choose on the restaurant menu and be served in the pub (restaurant’s prices are far more expensive than the pub, of course). Answer : « no we don t do that ! « Well, We ordered a Beer. Then we saw an empty table, I asked to a waitress if we can go. She Said yes and then one waiter came to us and asked us to leave the table because it was not Free (people where outside smoking without living anything at the table, how can we know ?). He spoke very loud, in front of every one, without Even a sorry… Me and my husband never felt so uncomfortable in a bar (where you are supposed to have good Time). We never had such the feeling of not being welcome. We left. Our worst experience in 1 month in Ireland ! We definitely would not recommend...
