Posting on behalf of my grandmother and two aunties who do not have the ability to create a Google Review . “We visited on Saturday 27th July and asked to order inside as we hadn’t visited before. We were told that someone would come to take our order so we said we would be sitting outside. About 10 minutes passed, so I went inside and asked if we could get service, the staff were not busy and were chatting amongst themselves, but said someone would be out in a minute. I returned outside to my seat and yet again after 5 minutes nobody came. My aunt then went in and asked again if we could please be served, a staff member came out 5 minutes later and served another table that just sat down and completely ignored us. I then went in again and explained I was very disappointed and it was very poor service. I understand what cafes are like and how busy they can be as I worked in hospitality, but this was completely unacceptable and gave us no option but to leave and go elsewhere. Staff seemed to not be bothered at all, poorly run business if you allow your staff to be like this, I won’t be returning” -...

Woeful! I don't like criticising local eating establishments, but the food is awful and over priced. I ordered a chicken wrap, salad and chips. When it eventually came it was a wrap containing a couple of overcooked, hard chicken goujons with lettuce, red onion and tomato. It was hard dry and tasteless, came with thin chips. No mayonnaise or nothing! Just salt and pepper on table. There was a table of Yanks at another table. They were equally unimpressed. There was 2 Italians sitting to our left. They ordered the breakfast wrap. They were also equally unimpressed. The waitress was a lovely, friendly lady, but the food... No!!! I remember when it was the Copper Kettle, I think?? It was far, far better food served there. When people from all over the world stop in to Billberry Mill, we are being disgraced. OUR cuisine is a million times better than the tripe served in this cafe. The leek and potato soup was also salty. Billberry Mill needs to get a decent chef and upgrade the menu. Give this place a wide berth. Tourists you have been warned, go elsewhere in Bushmills. This place is...

Liked the look of this place today so took my elderly aunt & uncle for lunch. We ordered 3 main course, 1 special famous butcher burger, 1 buttermilk chicken strips & 1 chicken strip wrap. The pot of tea was very weak. The burger was anything but succulent & juicy more like cremated & inedible. Not a good advertisment for the butcher. The buttermilk chicken strips were more like frozen overcooked gougons. The wrap was good & the chips were lovely. I noticed every other table was having sandwiches or wraps, now I know why. The staff were friendly & attentive & did offer something else in stead of the burger but by that time it was too late . I mentioned the problem when paying the bill but unfortunately no reduction for inedible food....

A quick visit on a very wet day. I remembered as we were out walking in the rain that the Bilberry Mill was dog friendly so we couldn't resist stopping off to heat up. Very friendly and attentive staff, made us and our dog feel very welcome. Our dog was promptly brought a bowl of water and a dog biscuit, followed by pets from staff and other diners. The coffee and tray bakes we ordered were fantastic. We also ordered a doggy dinner which our dog hoovered up in record time. We wouldn't hesitate in coming back another time to try the hot food. Great little spot.

The food here was absolutely delicious, but I did have some issues with the service. I requested warm water, but instead, I received just regular water, which was a bit disappointing. Since the place gets really busy in the mornings, it was difficult to catch the attention of the staff when I needed assistance. On the bright side, I appreciated the small touch of the lotus biscuit they served with my coffee—it was a nice little treat that added to the experience. Overall, while the food was fantastic, the service could use some improvement.

Had a takeaway of 6 rolls and 2 teas. The hot rolls were lukewarm. The roll we asked for without butter, had butter. The tea which was asked for with a ‘spot’ of milk looked like baby tea. I’m sorry but this was rotten. After moaning at Hubbie in the car he then told me the bill for this order was £51.75. I’m sorry but what?! Daylight robbery and for disgusting rolls. Even a tea costing roughly £3.50, that made one roll an average of £7.45. For a takeaway?! No way I would’ve paid that to start with but hey, lesson learned.
