I used to love this place. I recently returned, telling my friend they’d love it, too. Instead, I found myself feeling embarrassed and apologising for taking them there. It was quiet when we arrived, with just one other customer already seated. Meanwhile, there were three members of staff standing behind the counter; arms crossed; leaning against the back counter, faces like a wet weekend; no hello or acknowledgement when we arrived; no interest in ever coming to take our order; I felt like we'd walked uninvited into their front room. I eventually got up to place our order, since none of them were interested in putting themselves out. The bill seemed quite steep but I didn’t query it until we’d sat back down. It turned out the bill was correct, just unnecessarily extortionate. Word to the wise, if you want onions on your hot beef sandwich, they’ll charge you £1 extra for this apparent luxury, and there’ll be roughly 5 pitiful strands to show for it! And if you want some cream on your coffee, that coffee’s going to cost you £4!!! They won’t thank you or say goodbye when you leave either. You did, after all, walk into their front room and demand that they make food for you. Terrible customer service. What happened to...

The food could have been cooked longer especially the tomatoes on the breakfast, a choice of toast wasn't given and the butter was partially melted, they could have asked about the egg instead of having the only option of fried. Mushrooms should have been sliced not cut in to squares, the bacon could have been fried and crispier like the hash brown which didn't have the crispiness to it 😞😞😞😞 the waitress I don't think she has that much kitchen experience due to her young age, plus getting a few orders mixed up on the table for 6/7...

Took 3 very hungover 40+ males in this morning, they all opted for the FANTASTIC BB's ie big breakfasts .... They devoured them in a flash..... I'm picky and they catered perfectly to my needs.... Table service when eye contact is made is prompt as not everybody wants to order as soon as they sit down!! Staff are wonderfully friendly and food is brought with a smile and a cheery word... Again when leaving with a thank you the staff always make you feel like you're so welcome, love...
