It's extremely disappointing to report that the customer service at McDonald's has been nothing short of atrocious. Over the past 6 months, I've had two online orders that were completely wrong. In one instance, my friend's request to remove bacon was ignored, and in the other, the burger itself was missing. When I contacted McDonald's about this, they simply asked me to contact Deliveroo, passing the buck on their mistake. What kind of service is that?
And if that wasn't bad enough, my most recent experience at the drive-thru was a complete nightmare. I paid by card, only to be told at the collections window that my card didn't work. They then expected me to hand over my card so they could redo the transaction. Why wasn't this checked beforehand? It's shady, to say the least.
When I asked if I could come into the store to resolve the issue, the employees made weird faces and handled the situation poorly. The burger itself was thrown together and looked like a complete mess. I'll be trying McDonald's again next week, but I'll be sure to take some photos this time. The first screens were adverts, second screens, one being your order as it's entered, the other advert/promotional of a small number of seasonal lines. Not being a regular at McDonald's, I asked if they could display the menu on screen so I could make a choice. I was told this was displayed on previous screens, and that I would need to reverse the car to see them. I did, and it was still showing an advert (no menu). Drove forward again, and advised the member of staff, who acknowledged that the menu was only shown intermittently with adverts. I asked if she would display the menu on the second screen, to which she informed me that she wasn't able to do this, it wasn't something she could control... and then of course asked me what I would like to order!!!! Unable to exit, as cars in front and behind... I ordered from memory (as only had the seasonal specials displayed to choose from). Appalling experience entirely created by management/ corporate decisions which specifically prevent staff (even on request/ exception) from providing minimum of "dishes" available...

It back up and throw it down the burger line, he saw me and went completely RED in the face, and turned away and moved back, I then said to the manager packing someone's food to take out that burger and bin it, which he did and requested a new one, ↓
BUT, not even a telling off, not a working or disciplinary for NOT following food standards and safety at ALL.
He simply said make a new one and gave the order out which was for delivery. ABSOLUTELY VILE AND DISGUSTING this was at the #Huddersfield Gallagher retail park. VILE.
His co-worker (a young girl) also saw this and laughed nervously after seeing me tell the manager to throw the burger away and after I explained why. No care at all for anyone's health, just disgusting.
