I'm not normally one to leave a review but how could I not after how accommodating and kind the members of staff at Wavecrest were!!
Me and my wife called in today on a very windy November afternoon. Unfortunately my wife slipped whilst holding our little girl whilst on the way to Wavecrest due to the high winds. My wife was visibly shaken and very upset when we arrived at Wavecrest. The staff could not have been kinder and more helpful if they'd tried.
The girls helped me clean my wife up and calm our little one down even providing plasters, anti-septic wipes and a first aid box.
Along with the first class thoughtfulness and kindness that we received from the minute we walked through the door, the food and drinks were just what we needed. I'd highly recommend the deluxe hot chocolate, absolutely huge and well worth the money. Cream tea was perfect and the loaded fries were also fantastic aswell.
Can't thank the staff at Wavecrest enough for looking after us and helping me put my wife and little girl at ease after such a stressful few minutes.
We'll definitely be back...
Read moreSimply the best all around experience, stunning location, superb food, super dog friendly and the nicest, most welcoming management, extremely talented chef and team of staff. We have had many meals here, from the epic Sunday roast (in the winter months), to lunches, drinks and snacks, Wavecrest is our absolute favourite cafe and go to place in Cornwall. We’re down here for my birthday week, and all I wanted on my special day was lunch at Wavecrest, and it didn’t disappoint - a leisurely smorgasbord of fresh crab sandwich (absolutely packed with crabmeat and worth every penny), salt & pepper calamari and fries, and a cheese & chive scone with caramelised onion chutney and butter. All gorgeous, fresh and delicious, and served with a smile. Gary & Victoria and your lovely staff, you’re all wonderful and do such a good job, always so insanely busy yet taking the time to stop and chat, and have a laugh. We hope to come back and try the Friday BBQ before we leave! Thank you for a fantastic lunch, Andy,...
Read moreThese guys are brilliant! We had a little mishap with our daughter and she accidentally fell and bumped her head whilst we visited the cafe. Quite a big bruise came up so we asked one of the waitresses if we could borrow a cold compress and she quickly obliged. Then the owner, Gary, came to us and was extremely kind and attentive. He gave my daughter some ice-cream and a toy to help her feel better and calm her down after her fright. He gave us some sound first aid advice and we were more than happy to help him fill out his accident log book.
After the initial shock, my daughter felt better and we managed to have some lunch, which was excellent quality and really tasty. We will definitely be visiting this place again next time we're near The Lizard.
Thanks again to the owners and all the waitress staff for your help and kind words! We had a trip to the minor injuries unit at Helston and she was given the all clear after she had told the nurses all about how she got her fluffy...
