Oh dear, where do I even begin? I had rather hoped for a classic fish and chips, but when I inquired, the waiter—who, might I add, spoke in a manner so peculiar it bordered on theatrical—told me, "No sir, no feesh an cheeps herre sir, sorri." I was utterly taken aback. It was deeply unsettling, but as I had my children with me, I maintained a composed (if slightly horrified) demeanor. When the food finally arrived, I was presented with a bowl of something that bore a striking resemblance to blended primate, swimming in an ominous brown sauce, alongside a peculiar, flat bread that tasted like pure despair. It was, quite frankly, an assault on the senses. Never again. 🚫

I’ve ordered from here twice and every time my curry has lacked flavour and basic ingredients. The heat is a flash in the pan so goes in your mouth and disappears a second later. Everything is floating in oil as you can see. My partner orders a creamy curry and seems to like his but it’s not floating in oil. Very disappointing both times.

Gave a nut allergy sufferer the wrong curry!!!!

Dangerous, clueless and unprofessional.

We rung provisionally and asked if they could cater for a nut allergy and they said yes so we happily booked. We arrived and it was nice, busy and was sat down straight away. We ordered drinks and some poppadoms. We then ordered our starters where my partner asked if she would be alright with the chicken pakoras due to having a nut allergy as it says on the menu to make staff aware when ordering. The waiter asked if she was okay with egg and flower? We again clarified it was a NUT ALLERGY. I then ordered the chicken tikka starter. For mains my partner ordered the chicken Balti which she again clarified didn't contain any nuts what so ever which the waiter said it didn't and I ordered a chicken Pathia.

Around 5-10 minutes later I got the attention of another waiter to ask about our drinks. They came and apologised as the ticket had been thrown away where they said we could have them on the house which was fair enough, genuine mistake.

The starters come and I'm faced with a mixed starter which is not what I ordered.

Our mains came on a tray and the waiter said chicken Pathia so that was placed on the table in front of me and the same for the Balti and my partner. Or so we thought. I dipped a chip into my partners sauce to try it as I love curry and it tasted alot sweeter than mine which was an indication to me that was actually my chicken Pathia. Due to being unsure and before my partner eating it I called the manager over who was dressed in a shirt and tie. I asked him to confirm which curry dish was which and he said the same as the waiter. Placing full trust in our waiter and the manager we began to eat.

A few minutes later the table right next to us was served a chicken Balti which looked the exact same as mine. I therefore called the same manager over and explained this to him. He then took both curries to check and went into the kitchen. He came back shortly after and said that I was right, there had been a mix up and my partner was eating my curry!!!!

Just let that sink in. My partner, with a severe nut allergy, had been served and began eating a curry which we didn't know was safe for her to eat. The manager then told us that it was fine and that my pathia doesn't contain nuts either. This infuriated me. I said to him if I'd of ordered a chicken tikka masala which contains nuts she could've had an anaphylactic shock and died, it's that serious as she has to carry epi pens with her.

The manager agreed and said that I was right and offered us new meals. We declined and walked out.

There is a clear lack of knowledge around such an important allergy. The staff need further training. They need to take less pictures for their Facebook page and concentrate on serving customers correctly and...

Staff were quite rude. We had a booked table for 7 but upon arrival no table was available. Once we had gotten a table we were rushed into ordering. I asked for a chicken jalfrezi but I requested it to be mild in heat. The waiter abruptly told me that the dish was already mild and that no changes were needed (I've had this dish a hundred times over and it's usually served as a spicy dish. I don't dislike hot dishes but on this occasion I fancied something mild). When the dish was served, the food was so hot that it was painful to eat. I didn't end up finishing the meal. My friend also said that his dish was unusually spicy.

Maybe other people will have a better experience than me but I don't think...
