Disgusted by this establishment. As a paying customers I have never been treated so poorly. I am not the type of person to comment on bad establishments. If I have a bad experience I simply don't go back but this time I must comment on how horrible this establishment treats it's customers. Throughout the night I bought 8 drinks one after another and sat to watch the rugby game on TV. I never took up a bar space unless I was ordering a drink. After being in the establishment about 4 hours, ordering drinks throughout that time, and peacefully watching the game I decided to go to the bathroom. I finished my drink and proceeded to the bathroom. After a couple mins I came back out and took a seat to see the game. Taking 5 mins before I ordered another drink. The two men next to me ( only one of which had a drink) were talking and watching the same game. I checked my phone to see the time and just before I could get up a man (who I assume is the owner and had been giving me rude looks all night long) comes by and tells me to get out. He claims it was because I did not have a drink but about 7 or 8 mins ago I was just at the bar with a drink in hand not to mention I had a drink the whole time I was there. On top of that he did not ask the man next to me to leave on the same grounds. Instead of arguing I simply got up and left. Being an American who had never traveled abroad I felt targeted by the owner of this bar. I felt as if he simply couldn't find a reason to kick me out and finally in that less than 10 mins timespan he thought he had found one. After that point I waited for the bus and my phone died. I fell asleep waiting for the bus until a group of very nice people came by to wake me up. I obviously had no idea what time it was or why the bus had not come. I was bought back to the bar to see if they could order me a cab (I'm from a rural state and I've never ordered a cab in my life) only to once again be yelled obscenities at by the same man. Instead of helping someone who was obviously lost and in need he decided to have zero compassion and zero decency. Luckily, the people left over at the bar and bartender decided they had some humanity and helped me order a cab. I really truly do what to chalk this up to a misunderstanding. I am a person that is willing to admit when I've done something wrong. The man chose to yell at customer ( someone who had spent over 40 pounds in his establishment). I want to thank everyone who helped me out in a time of need. It's hard being in a foreign country and feeling like you're being targeted simply because you are different. Once again if I had done something I would be perfectly willing to apologize however, I don't see what the wrong doing was. The bartenders were excellent and the drinks were great, unfortunately the owner's actions spoiled the establishment for me. I would love to hear from this establishment and sort out any misunderstanding we may have had that night. Until then it's going to be a 1 star for the worst bar or pub I've been...

A shame really, it's nicely decorated and has an old pub kind of feel. But we visited as a group of 6 friends and ordered 3 rounds of drinks for 4 of us since two of the group are Muslim and dont drink. We where told we had to leave the pub since not all of us where buying drinks by a very aggressive female member of bar staff. Nobody was drunk or even tipsy or acting in any form of antisocial manner, we where just chatting in the corner, enjoying the music and minding our own business. I can understand the position of the pub if 6 people walked in and didn't buy a single drink between them but 4/6 spending around £40 you would think you would be allowed to sit and chat for an hour! So I would not...

Really nice pub, with a cosy feel and a welcoming atmosphere. I only dropped in for a quick pint so can't comment on the food. However, the beer (Landlord this time) seemed to be well kept, and prices were reasonable. The sign points out that they are a free house, so I assume at least some of the beers will change periodically. Last night they also had Leeds Pale, plus a guest beer from Wolverhampton I think. Didn't try them though!

I noticed they had a separate games room with a pool table at least. TVs were showing Sky sports, but were turned right down so were not intrusive.

Will definitely...
