Stables Pub — Restaurant in Leeds

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Ordered our food and it finally came an hour later. On the menu it didn't say the burgers came with chips so we ordered them as extras. When our burgers came with them however, they weren't too quick at giving us a refund on the extra portion of chips, but they did in the end. Chips were over cooked and were frozen oven chips - DISGUSTING! The table next to us ordered steak pie and it just looked like water with abit of meat. Also when they asked where the gravy was, which it said it came with on the menu, the staff said they had run out. Somebody else near us ordered a simple sandwich, this took over 1 hour to come and didn't look to good. Wouldn't recommend this place...

After a long warm walk with a few friends we decided to nip into the stables pub today for a drink on our way back home. I never normally leave reviews but I just have to express how wonderful The service was. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much to ask, I had a fussy friend who couldn’t decide on a drink and the lady with the blonde bobbed hair and black dress, (sorry didn’t catch her name) was excellent in helping her decide, she made us laugh and the whole atmosphere of the pub was just fabulous. We will be making it a regular pit stop for our walks, can’t recommend...

Sat outside the pub quite a few time's in the summer and had no problems at all, however we decided to visit today to try the food on our way to the cinema, went to order our food and we were told that the chef was in a meeting so we would have to wait for at least half an hour, as we didn't have plenty of time before the picture's, we had to find somewhere else for food so not very pleased at all, surely the chef should not have been in a meeting during food serving hours, also bar staff just stood around while there were dirty plates on two of the tables for at least half an hour that...
