The lime leaf — Restaurant in Leeds

A friend recommended The Lime leaf because of the amazing quality of the food and the fact the menu was so clear around allergens (which I need!). We ordered for collection tonight. It's a beautiful little venue, with a counter, some tables and a window to the kitchen. Everything feels clean and fresh, and the staff are really friendly. The menu is beautifully laid out inside, and a place I'd enjoy eating in! We ordered a Pad Thai dish, Yakisoba, and a selection of three starters including the Gyoza, for two of us.

The food is presented in nifty cardboard boxes (that you can turn into a dish - YouTube it. It smelled amazing and we were not disappointed when we got home. Taste, quality, freshness..all spot on.

The portion sizes are larger than average, so don't be deterred if the prices seem higher than your average takeaway. This place is not average.

You can find the menu on Facebook, it looks very basic but please don't judge on that (I often do). Go in, look at the menu and order.

Second time using lime leaf. Very disappointed in their red Thai curry takeaway, it had a full lime in it that had dark spots, this made the curry very very bitter and did not taste like a red Thai curry at all, took two spoonfuls and could not eat the rest . Very disappointed as we tried the take away red curry here before and it was lovely but the second time the restaraunt had the cheek to say no one has ever complained, rather than apologising. As this was a take away we had no option but to part with hard earned money, they told us we should have told them straight away on collection, we live 20 minutes away so are hardly going to try on collection. Won't be ordering...

This place is fantastic! I've eaten here many a times and I have never been disappointed. I struggle with eating takeouts due to my IBS, however, THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I CAN EAT that doesn't cause a flare up!! Besides this, the food is delicious - I have eaten at many Thai/Asian restaurant and this is by far one of the best and really authentic! The staff are really friendly and accommodating - they will do anything to meet my needs. A great big THANK YOU to The Lime Leaf Pudsey, I can now eat out without the fear of being unwell!
