DO NOT COME HERE! Absolutely awful, will never come here again. Arrived at 13:10 for a booking at 13:15 for 7 people. Ordered food and drinks. We had starters which took around 15-20 minutes to arrive, 3 were soup which arrived cold, not even Luke warm, sent them back to wait another 10 minutes for it to arrive back warm, not as hot as it should be. We then asked for more tea and coffee. After 25 minutes and asking 3 times we were served with some luke warm but no coffee and this never arrived. ‘Unlimited tea and coffee’ is complete false advertising. Around 14:10 we finally got our main meals, all of which came with cold, soggy chips which must have been sat a while. Some of the fish was also luck warm like it had been sat for a while. After complaining about the chips the staff brought 4 plates of scolding hot chips out as most of us had finished the fish or sausage so would’ve just ended up with chips to eat alone. Not to mention the scraps which look like they’d been deep fried for hours. The only meal which was edible and acceptable was the gluten free fish and chips which were cooked fresh and piping hot. Overall disgraceful, the young lady serving us was very helpful however as it wasn’t her fault after all. When we asked for some discount off of the bill we had to argue with the male member of staff who claimed because the food was replaced it was fine. He eventually gave a 20% discount. He should have paid us never mind the other way round.

* I have had to edit this review * Unfortunately I've had to edit and add to my review as my last experience was awful. I went last Friday at around 8 o'clock, the service was so slow and unorganised , people queuing in different directions and the staff non existent or past caring. When finally served it all felt rushed and this all made sense when I got home. The chips absolutely disgusting, half cooked and full of horrible tasting grease. The fish was awful. The pie was awful. The gravy was like dishwasher water, the peas you could chew on them and the curry was the worst chip shop curry I've ever had, it was tasteless and just had clumps of bits at the bottom when I tried to stir it but it made no difference, again watery. It was so bad and out of order I've had to change this review as I won't be going back again. It's disrespectful you charge these prices and serve such poor quality. We couldn't even get the chips of the grease paper it was that bad. It was just a mess and at £40 for everything, abysmal. - Went for the first time in a long time the other week. Woman polite at the counter and had a good natter. Food was good when we got it home , both the fish and chips were really nice and if you visiting make sure you try the curry sauce. Worth a visit for the takeaway, never been inside for the restaurant.

I have to say this has to be the poshest fish and chip restaurant I have ever had the luxury to visit. A stunning and inviting establishment from the roadside with bright fresh neon lighting. One way car park with separate entrance and exit. Plenty of parking spaces. To the right looks like a clean high end fish and chip shop for your take away needs. I opted to dine in at the restaurant to the left. A vast brightly lit fresh dining area with plenty of seating. Modern cocktail bar with draft beers. Fresh flowers on every table and great attention to detail for each place setting. Would make an ideal romantic Valentine's treat or suit the whole family any time of the year. Service was welcoming and very warm. A good menu selection also but opted for classic fish and chips with curry sauce and bread and butter. Fantastic portion size and really quality delicious honest food. I was too full for pudding but I spotted a trolley with an array of stunning cakes being taken around and a fully stocked artisan Ice cream cart too.

The place was clean and quiet there's our first clue.

The waitress was very lovely, polite and smart ( maskless) if that impacts your choices).

We ordered and the food was quick to arrive it was priced slightly more than other restaurants we frequent, although the two other fish restaurants serve toddler's free. My expectations were higher for there meal.

All our fishes were overcooked and so very greasy. The kids meal was mainly batter, and really thick and dark, the chips were chips but the peas yuck! Imagine being transported to the 1970s when we didn't really appreciate the peas needed two minutes in water to be sweet and delicious. These yellow green garden peas looked to have been a nostalgia trip. My daughter would not believe they were peas as there was no green to be seen. I'm only sorry I didn't have my phone to share with you the incredible hue of yellow. The only positive was a walk down memory lane.

Our fish was moist for the majority but it just wasn't all that and the batter was dirty in parts and the fish was overcooked around the sides, our curry sauce came with a thick skin on top which I removed, underneath it was a nicely spiced side once you've broken through.

There are many great fish restaurants in the area that have been serving Fish and Chips as long as I can remember and they've sustained standards unlike here. It was a shame to visit somewhere that once was so great become so very average at best.

I only hope we visited on an "off day" and others don't have the disappointing...
