The Old Peacock — Restaurant in Leeds

Newly refurbished The Old Peacock is a fantastic new venue on the Leeds dining seen.

The eating area is welcoming, spacious and well equipped.

My partner and I started with the mixed bread as a starter. This we very nice with huge amounts of humous and other dips.

For main I asked for a main portion of the Ribs (only on as a starter), the ribs came and were massive. Although the edges were a tad tough the rest was fantastic and extremely enjoyable. Perhaps a finger bowl and separate dish for the bone could be an option for diners in the future. The chips/fries were very tasty and well seasoned.

My wife had the vegetarian pie, this came with a fantastic salad in balsamic vinegar.

Everything came red hot with speedy service. In fact the service throughout was excellent and friendly.

The bar has lots of real ales as you would expect and your regular lagers. I would like to see some different lagers in there than Carling etc.but hopefully this will come in time.

We will be visiting for dinner and tea again in the future, well done...

Wouldn't bother going into this pub before its refurb, outside of match days, purely because of how it looked. Rough. Went in last night, for a bite to eat with my girlfriend, and they've got everything spot on. Nice and clean, plenty of seating, great big garden, great selection of beer. On the food side I've not eaten in a pub that's as well set up for dining. Tables set up including wine glasses, couple of young lads as waiters, though may not have been the most experienced, they were well mannered and helpful. Reasonably priced and well fitted

Didn't really feel too welcome at first and as we're still under COVID guidelines and sat down and waited while the staff spoke to other customers (assuming regulars by the friendliness between them) and was sat for a good 10 minutes (I was watching sky sports news so was fairly aware) before being asked what I'd like to drink which I though was ridiculous as there was only these other 2 patrons in
