Such a friendly and welcoming pub! The landlady Amanda is just incredible, she offered to allow me to hold numerous fundraising events for our self-funded majorette team at The Whistlestop and went above and beyond to help me organise it! From meetings and planning to running around setting up! We’ve held 2 race nights and a fun day and across all 3 events we have raised over £2,000! We know this pub well but hadn't been in since the latest refurb. We called in one afternoon to take a look. Wow, it looks amazing, the decor is bright, somewhat quirky and clean. Pints (selected) at £2.50 on weekdays, the varied outside areas are fantastic! A fully covered outside no smoking area with artificial grass ( the expensive sort), a marquee with loads of seating and the same smoking shelter as before. Great decor, best in Beeston.

Shame about the service. At the beginning of our meal we got approached by a member of staff asking if we were happy with our food. When we expressed our concerns, she just laughed and walked away.

What was the point of asking then?!

I asked about the manager who didn't seem to be bothered at the slightest.
