I had the best pizza I've ever had. Now, to preface this, I've never been to Italy. I have, however, had a lot of pizza from places boasting their credentials and basing their entire brand on authenticity. I have also been to Vesuvius a lot since moving nearby and it has never been less than great. Service is friendly and welcoming, people come and are social with one another, the music makes you think of some knowingly chic film and the decor is charming. I had the meatballs with some delicious bread, a juicy and flavourful orange juice (which is sweet to the point you get a suggestion of honey) and the best pizza I have ever had. The crust was aerated, the base was crisp and just slightly risen and there was a fearsome cheese pull without the cheese being searing hot or stringy. The tomato sauce was flavourful and the toppings felt fresh and were delicious. It just all came together brilliantly.

Turned up on a Post st valentine's Thursday and there were probably fifty per cent of the tables taken. I started with the Arancino which was really enjoyable. I then had the Verace pizza. It was really good from the first taste to the last. The one thing that would elevate it further would be to use prosciutto rather than the wafer thin stuff. It was still really very good. I finished with a bowl of ice cream. Service was with a smile and was well executed. All in all a very enjoyable meal.

The perfect Italian pizza . Amazing dough and quality ingredients all cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. The starter I had was exceptional (deep fried spaghetti with white sauce with ham and peas ) and the meat feast pizza had was as good as it gets a nice variety of meats and quality base. Service was also great with fast and polite service. Finally the atmosphere was also good with good seating and nice accompanying music. 5/5 a must try probably the best Italian pizza in Leeds!

Probably the best pizza I've ever had. Let's put this into context - I jumped on the train from Wakefield to Pizza Pilgrims in Soho when they only had the one restaurant and that was the sole reason for the journey. This is how you do pizza - the toppings are fantastic, taste the tomato on its own and you'll find it's not bitter or too sweet...just right. But forget the toppings, as impressive as they are, it's all about the dough. Absolutely spot on, can't fault it, couldn't even get nit-picky about anything and boy can I nit-pick. Pasquale, don't change a...
