Because this pub is near the town centre, the railway station, a good non-league football ground, and colleges, there is always a mixed crowd in and outside the friendly Lansdown. This is a quality local pub completely without pretensions, and offers a reasonable choice of beer and snacks to all comers. There is a brief wine list too.
