We found Beata through a mutual friend's Facebook recommendation. We were looking for a wedding cake with a difference. After a few messages, the odd phone call we agreed a visit to her warm and welcoming home just outside central Brighton (Saltdean). Beata was able to accommodate us in the evening (8pm) as we both work full time. During our chat (and whilst tasting generous samples of delicious cake) she surprised us by agreeing to make a replica of the Brighton Royal Pavilion in 3 types of cake to serve 80 people. It turned out to be a passion of love for Beata and we left it as a surprise until our big day. Beata was considerate enough to check the weather forecast to ensure her delivery was made earlier than planned due to inclement weather. The result on our wedding day was something of a show stopper! The entire room was buzzing about the cake which we couldn't wait to see. On first sight we were lost for words (which is rare I can assure you)! The craftsmanship and creativity knows no bounds where Beata is concerned. Beata was so pleasant to work with that when we found out she would be in a nearby restaurant during our wedding reception we insisted she joins in the party. During our honeymoon the popularity of our cake began to boom and it even featured on BBC Sussex and BBC South East. We were more than happy to give our blessing to this positive news story. To this day guests still talk about the spectacular cake which everyone's opinion was a once in a lifetime centrepiece for our magical day. Thank you Beata and the best of luck for the future. Do not hesitate to commission a cake with Beata. She is one...
Read moreI contacted Beata with a simple idea (or so I thought) for a cake in the shape of a gin bottle for my mums 70th. After a brief conversation Beata asked if i'd like the cake to be standing up? wow! I thought how cool. A few emails & text messages followed with ideas & details then Beata asked if i'd like a caricature of mum made popping out of the top of the bottle.Wow again......and yes! Then Beata asked if i'd like the bottle tipped to 45 degrees? sure why not I said. Now we had a tipped bottle but nowhere to put the caricature of mum. Not a problem for Beata, I'll make it look like she's sliding down the bottle she said! More wow! And finally just when I thought there weren't anymore ideas to pop from Beata, she asks, would you like gin pouring out of the bottle? Wow & yes!! If you've bothered to read all this then please go to the gallery on Beata's website & see for yourself this awesome cake! Fabulous, Lady, Fabulous ideas, & out of this world ideas & skills! I can't say enough how much this cake was loved, to look at & to eat! Big huge thanks again to Beata HAVE HER MAKE YOU A...
Read moreBeing a first time client and having never tasted a cake from the lovely Beata I was very nervous. I sent over the pics and she then spent quality time with me over the phone discussing exactly what I wanted. The day before I was due to collect she called me to say the rainbow I wanted on the cake just wasn’t working and can I trust her to use the idea she has in her mind that she knows will be perfect. Tentatively I agreed and said go ahead. She did not disappoint, in fact she far exceeded my expectations. The cake was exceptional, she is so creative. I had so many people say that it looked better than their wedding cakes. Strangers were coming by the party room to take pictures of the masterpiece. The cake itself was sensational. It was two tiers and no one could pick a favourite as they were both so scrumptious. Light and airy, just so yummy. Nothing but compliments and questions about where I got the cake from. I will never buy an occasion cake from anywhere or anyone else again. Beata is a baker...
