Kawa Sushi — Restaurant in Lewes

I don’t even know where to start, First of all when I walked in I got a real sense of community and warmth. The stuff were super smiley which is always a good sign! When it came to ordering my food, the lovely waitress explained the different types of sushi on the menu which has made it 10x easier for me to now order sushi. The food was divine, I had a meal box 2 and katsu curry and it was so filling, they offered to pack it for me to take home so I did. I am so happy there is finally a sushi restaurant in Peacehaven and how caring the staff are. After the pandemic many people choose to eat in but I promise you , you will feel as comfortable eating here as you do your own home!! Just ordered the salmon teriyaki which was dry and tasted old and the salmon in the maki didn’t taste right so we didn’t eat hardly any of it. Called the owner and told him this and politely asked for a refund and he replied with ‘ write whatever you like, I don’t care’ and he hung up on me. So it looks like they are BUYING GOOGLE REVIEWS as it’s def not a 4.9 rated restaurant and the owners attitude proved this clearly as I’ve not had customer service like this EVER! 1st time a week ago was lovely ..very friendly/tasty and quite fast …unfortunately as what normally happens when a place starts taking on too much/plus deliveroo/Uber eats orders…the rest suffers…tonight I ordered a collect order at 6pm…told 1/2 hr ,arrived to pick up at 630…finally got it at 7…..sadly chicken teriyaki was quite over cooked …overall disappointing after a long day at work and was really looking forward to it.
