Large green tiled roof pub serving food. Special VALUE food menu on Wednesday's for pensioners -VIP. Plenty of seating both indoors and out (not just fixed picnic tables. Some regular chairs and also high stools.) Darts and pool caterer for, Sky Sports shown. Comprehensive menu available. Our pensioners food (£10 for 2 for main and dessert) was fresh plentiful and very tasty. Staff (only 2 when we went Mid Sept 2025) all very accomodating smiley and hard working. This caused a large delay in getting food out. Eclectic decor with framed prints of Gallions on the walls. (See photos) Well stocked bar. Free juke box. 1 gambling machine. Spotless gents toilets. CCTV around the inside. 5 Star food hygiene rating. Special live entertainers on occasions. Good bus ervice close by, Parking somewhat restricted. Well worth a visit.

Super yummy! Traditional Sunday roast in England … this is one is roast lamb from the area, with the very proper mint sauce, “Emily Bunt’s” traditional English roasted smashed potatoes, cheesy broccoli & cauliflower, green peas, green beans, mash (potatoes), all topped with the very English Yorkshire Pudding, all swimming in a rich brown sauce!!! And with a view of the English Channel. 😋

I have only visited at quiet times i.e. mid-week daytime but the staff members are friendly, the food and drink isn't costly and the food is quite good. The food sometimes takes a while to arrive but it is fresh and hot so this isn't a problem - I mention it only if you are in a hurry. Parking nearby on the main street is also limited to an hour.

My first visit today and had a late lunch and couple of beers.

Genuine, happy conversational service with the landlady by luck. I enquired about current changes as i had noticed the roof has been replaced (I’m local) Some further interior work to happen imminently, not that you would know. This place is presented really well - clean, on point with little touches of old school bar mats and music videos (very much in the background - not at all overbearing or atmosphere dominant)

Big big thumbs up to this venue and the staff. Well done for turning around a standard pub into a welcoming, fun yet professional environment. A new...

An example of when a change of manager can positively change an atmosphere and demographic for the better. What a turnaround.

Previously a 'dirty pint ' pub for builders with an edgy atmosphere in my view, it's now pivoted firmly to regular folk of all ages and families & is a lot more welcoming as a result. The problems seem to have been eliminated and there's a real sense of engagement with the community.

The service is great, the ale is fine and the food looked great value.

Well done Toni, you're exactly what the licensed trade &...
