On way back from Seven Sisters we wanted some good hearty food. We reached quite late, they were kind enough to accommodate us. Kids had mixed veg rice and cheese naan with chicken tikka. Rice my wife found a bit oily bet delicious. We had chicken (I forget what) and tandoori naan. Food was prompt, but I found the portion sizes a bit small. The server had informed us of the same beforehand. Food was good but sizes did not match the price. Parking had to be a bit away. Definitely recommended.

What an amazing Indian restaurant, I was there last night with my wife, we were travelling from Manchester. I’d reserved a table No-1 they gave me. I loved the ambiance of that area. Having tried authentic foods in India, food abroad didn’t make me happy except for this one restaurant, what an amazing food, naans were just perfect. Loved it. And the staff were very polite and friendly. Special thanks to the person who served us last night and the manager was friendly.

Unfortunately, our recent visit to Spice Village Indian restaurant was quite disappointing. We, along with several other patrons, experienced unacceptable delays in service. We waited over 30 minutes just for poppadoms and a full hour for our main courses. This would have been more understandable if the restaurant was busy, but it was not. Instead, we saw numerous delivery orders leaving the kitchen while none of the dining tables were served.

When our food finally arrived, both the lamb dish and the vegetable masala were weak in flavor and quite watery. Typically, we would have provided constructive feedback on the spot, but we were already too frustrated by the wait.

The only efficient part of our visit was the arrival of the bill, which came within a minute of asking. This was the first time I haven't tipped for service. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

My advice would be to focus equally on customers who have made the effort to come and dine in and support your business and not just telephone or internet...

Ordered online and after over an hour wait, called to be told they "weren't sure" when it would arrive. After pressing they said another 30 minutes and lacked any customer service about the situation. Said they were very busy but, frankly, if you are too busy to fulfil orders, don't accept them and take our money. At the very least provide realistic timing expectations when ordering.

After 2 HOURS since we ordered (50 minutes after they said 30 minutes more), still not here. Called to cancel and told to wait another 10 minutes! I refused. They couldn't even guarantee my refund had been processed so asked me to call back! Absolutely dreadful.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. For takeaway they are incompetent. Won't be using them again (eating in or out) and will be proactively recommending others to...

Have eaten in and had takeaway from Spice Village over the past few months. Everything about here is awesome, food, atmosphere, service, all top notch. As a somewhat self styled ‘curry connoisseur’ I’ve eaten at British Indian Restaurants up, down and across the UK and this is most certainly up there as a firm favourite. The food is cooked to perfection, full of different flavours. Most recently, I ordered a butter chicken, dhansak, madras and vindaloo all of which had unique and distinctive flavour profiles which indicates the food is crafted with skill by passionate chefs. I’m not a local to Seaford but certainly don’t pass up the opportunity to eat an awesome curry whenever i’m passing by the South Coast. If you’re looking for a top draw curry, you cant go wrong by visiting...
