When I arrived, there were just 2 cars in front of me and as soon as one moved forward I went and placed my order. I went to pay but the car in front was having difficulty paying with their card so it took a little longer than usual. I paid and moved forward expecting that with the delay my order would be ready. No it was not. I was asked to move to the next window but I pointed out that there was a van waiting there so I could not. I was then told to drive round to bay 1, which I did. There I sat and waited and waited while many cars came past me and drove out, so I assume that they had been served with their food. After some time a McDonald's employee came near cleaning the surfaces. I asked him if there was anybody inside working as I was still waiting for my meal. He went in and returned to say that he had told them. So I continued to wait again. After a while I decided to leave my car and go inside but just as I was closing my window I saw someone coming so I opened the window and the young lady said sorry for the wait. I asked "Why had I had to wait all that time" - she said there were massive queues - I responded and said that many cars had come out after me - she just laughed. So I drove off in disgust. I sent them an email to complain and I had no response so I expect that they will just ignore this comment showing that they care nothing about their customers. Due to my wife's illness I am using McDonald's on a regular basis and have never experienced this problem before and certainly not...
Read moreMy daughter and her boyfriend ( both 18 years of age ) went into McDonald’s in chase terrace 05/08/2019 at 20.45 and was refused access to order food as they had no id ( didn’t realise you needed idea to order food)? . With a phone call from my daughter to ask me to come and order food for her I decided to phone the restaurant to speak to the manager . As doing so the manager was very rude told they where very busy ( but as my daughter was sat out side and restaurant was empty ) and I was told after 19.00 you have to be over the age of 18 to get served . I understand if groups of young people turn up as their have been issues before but surely a young couple aren’t their to cause trouble and just wanted to buy a meal . After speaking to the manager left me with no confidence that she could do the job she was being paid for . As a family that have run catering companies I was very disappoint in the customer service that they offer as her little training has obviously has been given sorry to say . I normally do not bother about these sort of things but the manager spoke to me in such a rude manner I felt the need to leave...
Read moreI would give 5 stars based on the first 2 staff i am mentioning. The 3rd is entirely in the wrong job of "customer care"
The younger front of house lady, and customer care manager were friendly, helpful and went above and beyond. Both have been commended to head office today.
BUT and it is a huge but
"Mcdonalds have joined forces with the national autistic society"
And yet the very rude old lady on front of house had a huge issue with my autistic son (with eating difficulties) eating too slowly yesterday during his birthday treat with his friend!!! We had to wait for the food before he could even start to eat. And the same again for flurries. She talked about us like were weren't there, complaining we had "definitely been there over an hour" and blatantly ignored me when i tried to speak before i reconsidered bothering to explain. She was rude, unfriendly and i would even stretch as far as spiteful. Today she and her ignorant, rude behaviour have been formally reported to head office.
Edited to say i have also since contacted the national autistic society regarding...
